Season 2 of CW’s hit show ‘Gossip Girl’ is expected to return in the fall…and in full force.

Inside sources confirm to E!News that the show will have a 24-episode season, making it longer than norm 12-16 episodes.

Nothing will be made official until next week when the CW announces its schedule in NYC.

All the show’s hit characters will be back, with the expected full-time addition of Michelle Trachtenberg.

While on the set of Entourage today, where Leighton Meester is filming a guest starring of her character Justine Chapin, revealed that the plan to shoot Gossip Girl in the Hamptons at the beginning of season two.

She giggled,

‘Cause you gotta go to the Hamptons, right? And, by the way, we aren’t shooting in Staten Island like they did on Sex and the City. We’re shooting in the real Hamptons.
