Thanks to the ridiculous controversy spawned by the Vanity Fair pictures, Miley Cyrus will not be attending Friday’s red carpet event at the Walk Disney Resort in Orlando, Fla. as planned.
She’s been scheduled to appear for weeks at the party, along with other Disney Channel stars in town to film the “Disney Channel Games,” a charity competition.
Walt Disney World spokesman Gary Buchanan did not elaborate on why Cyrus is no longer expected.
In other Miley news, the raised more eyebrows by revealing in VF that Sex and the City is her “favorite show!” – and for comparing the adult series to Hannah Montana.
The 15-year-old told VF,
I love it! If you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters – that’s a thing we try to do on our show.
A source close to Miley, however, came to the rescue and clarified,
The show she watches is completely sanitized. She watches it on TBS. (TBS airs an edited-for-TV version of the iconic series.) [Miley's mom] Tish doesn’t allow HBO in the house. They only have basic cable.
