In the books, Serena is described to have super model looks. The actress who plays Serena has the 'pretty girl next door' look going on, but I don't think she would be asked to do a cover of Vogue, have her own perfume brand, have her picture plastered on buses or taxis or have legions of adolescent followers wherever she goes like the book Serena. It just seems weird. In fairness, I have always been a bit troubled by Daniel Radcliffe cast as Harry Potter. Maybe I'm the one with a problem.
