At least that’s how Diablo Cody referred to her yesterday during her Best Original Screenplay acceptance speech on Sunday.

Before winning an Oscar, however, “Juno” won many awards at the 2008 Spirit Awards Saturday in Santa Monica, where it was hailed as best feature and also picked up trophies for lead actress Ellen Page and screenwriter Diablo Cody.

Lianne Halfon, one of the producers of Fox Searchlight, said,

This was new territory for us. This was our first film with a happy ending and a movie about family that our families could actually see.

I like Ellen Page and loved Juno - I dunno if anyone saw SNL saturday night but she was very funny - was she trying to tell us something by doing a lesbian skit?!!!
