TMZ reports that the Spears grandaddy, June Spears, says Jamie Lynn is being kept out of sight on purpose.
Lynne keeps Jamie Lynn hidden. She’s in denial about the pregnancy. She’s thinks it’s just going to go away, but it’s not. It’s going to get bigger and bigger.
Not so…saw her at the grocery store just last week. Life goes on…

I was wondering about the molestation angle myself. britters really, really hates her dad. He was, and probably still is a drunk. He has two or three too many one night and then she comes home all done up from a show. It may be where she got the whole lolita/nymphette angle for her early career, and why she worked so hard back then-she wasn’t a legal adult but this would keep her out of the house where the bad things happen.

It’s been suggested, but never proven. There is a correlation between victims of incest and multiple personality disorder (which has been alleged for Brit), eating disorders (which she’s clearly had), and also with promiscuity (which is an understatement in Brit’s case). But correlation is not causation, so there’s no way of telling without proof.

What we do know is that Britney rarely talked about her father growing up, and when her parents did get divorced we were treated with the fact that Brit didn’t have the happy home life she previously told us about. In fact, she hates her father for a crime that she has never spoken…..is she embarrased because it was incest? Is is just that he was a drunk and she hates that she became the sole bread winner as a child? Or could it possibly be something worse in her mind: was he the only person who ever told her no?

Denial about how bad it is maybe? This has all come down at once (though it shouldn’t have because it’s been apparent to the outside world how bad Brit is for a couple years now, she should have known much longer than we have), what with the pregnancy and now Brit…it’s possible that her system really is in shcok. Howerver, denial seems to be an accepted and common practice in this family.
I think Grandpa Spears doesn’t read OK! magazine. Perhaps he doesn’t know what “denial” means.

I think there is nothing wrong if she want to hide from public until her baby born, but not to deny her pregnancy…It’s good to relaxing her mind, encouraging herself to keep on struggle for the future, thinking about the next plan for herself and the baby…Hope she can find the best way.

I know this is a JL topic, but I thought of something this morning after reading a new Britney story on MSN and I wanted to state my thoughts here. I read that Brit’s dad has been court-appointed as Britney’s conservator. I know civies don’t think about this, but people, especially celebs, should start thinking about living wills. If Britney had had a living will made when she was a rational thinker, then her nightmares wouldn’t come true and it would keep her dad out of her finances, if that is what is stated in her living will. They can save you.
Her dad is probably a far better choice for her finances than the other leeches in her life

While that sounds like a good thing, it exposes you to nothing. I think Britney wanted her father sexually but he turned her down and she’s never quite recovered from that. Would explain a lot of things. Insecure people can be extremely hurt by rejection. Would explain why she now has come down with an inherited mental illness. Triggered by dreams of jumping her daddy’s bones and the corresponding rejection. Plus, some of her actions suggest that Lynne has been probably doing her off and on over the years and that’s why Lynne can’t say no to her now. All makes sense. Don’t be surprised if we hear about her overwhelming fantasies of incest with her father.
