Lily Allen suffered a miscarriage days after returning home from a romantic getaway. She was 3 months pregnant with Ed Simons‘ baby. The couple is said to be “distraught” and in “a state of shock.”
A source close to the couple said:
Lily and Ed are in a state of shock. The bad news has been really difficult for them to take and they are really heartbroken. Lily’s entire outlook on life changed after she found out she was pregnant. She was looking forward to being a mum and starting a family with Ed. She had turned her back on the party girl image and turned over a new leaf.
How unbelievably sad. No one deserves to go through that.

You’re right. Noone deserves that… but let’s face it, she did continue smoking even though everybody knows smoking can cause miscarriage.
I hope she has a long hard think about whether fagging on is really worth it.
I agree, she was seen smoking after she got pregnant and she should have been aware of the dangers. I’m not saying she deserves this but there’s a chance she caused it herself. I’m a smoker myself but if I knew I was pregnant (or even if I was trying to get pregnant), I would not touch one cigarette.
many chain smokers go on to have very healthy babies - I feel for her. and wish her and her partner all the best. they will never forget but it will get easier
I stopped smoking when I got pregnant, and I dont plan on picking the habit back up. Nobody deserves to go through this though. I couldnt imagine my life without my son… so I feel for her.
That’s really sad, but if she had a history of destructive habits, then her body obviously had not had time to heal befoe she ended up pregnant. And if she continued those dangerous practices after she was pregnant, then she has only herslef to blame. Being a good parent start BEFORE conception.

Complete rubbish. You clearly have not taken into account the thousands of women who do not plan their pregnancies and still keep the babies - what, they are all bad parents? Furthermore, if you knew anything about pregnancy and conception, then you would know that the mother’s habits do not necessarily impact the outcome of their children. As an OBGYN NP for 5 years I’ve been present at enough births to know this. Miscarriage is amongst the most devastating experiences a woman can go through, and as such, these women should be treated with compassion, not this “I told you so” arrogant attitude that seems to have become your staple. For all that you preach Kelly1, you clearly have much to
learn about the real world, not to mention how to be a decent human being.
