Few people have sympathy for Michael Jackson. Britney needs compassion and mental health treatment. Compassion in no way excuses her form the responsibility she has to get herself better. And part of compassion is realizing the full extent that she is in trouble, and that she will not get better until she gets the treatment she needs. She does not need pity, because that won’t help her.
Micheal Jackson, on the other hand is a completly differnt story, like it or not, for one reason and one reason only: he’s a child molester. There are many ways to abuse children, but something about the grusomness and devastation of molestation strikes a nerve with people. Molesters don’t survive in jail because they get targeted by many of the other prisoners who’s problems started when they were molested as children. The evidence is stacked against MJ, and as he presents himself as a joke, the fact that someone like him is still running around free makes people uncomfortable. The joke about him because they are uncomfortable.

The problem with Britney is she thinks she can have it both ways: she’s a devil and an angel, a sexy diva, and the little girl child next door, the bad girl and the good girl. So now she’s trying to play the “I’m to mentally sick to got to court” while still saying “I’m mentally stable enough to make responsible decisions in my own life.” In this way, she gets the sympathy she wants so she doesn’;t have to do what she doesn’t want to do, but she thinks she’ll get enough freedom to do what she wants. Ain’t going to happen. From the moment the court of law was called in, she was toast. If she’s too sick to attend a deposition, then the court will demand a pschological eval to prove that statement, and if she is too sick, they can order her to treatment, and once she’s medicated, they can proceed from there. And people who have evaded court ordered mental health treatment, have often found themselves in jail. The noose is tightening around her neck, she’s just too dumb to notice.

Quite true, the amazing thing is, THERE NEVER SEEMS TO BE ANY CONSEQUENCES FOR HER ACTIONS, or at least, they pale in comparison to the extent of her transgressions.
