Even Mark Kaplan has said there are no winners. The boys having a mother sedated in a mental hospital and wishing for death is not winning anything. The stupidity and viciousness aimed her way is sad. She’s a sick, sick woman and there’s nothing amusing about it.
The question is, will she accept the help and direction of the people who will try to aid her and get her out of this mess….britney’s previous behavior suggests not, and it may be time to lock her up for a while, for her own good.

There’s a HUGE difference between “mental retardation” and “mental illness”. You can’t drive yourself or anyone else to “mental retardation” unless you bash in your head (or someone else’s) and cause brain injury, but even then it’s not mental retardation, it’s Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

I’m watching Nancy Grace and they just said neither kid was at the hospital.
I saw a photo of them taking Jayden into the hospital and he’s on someone’s shoulder, sucking a pacifier. I’m sure they took him to clear him, since he was locked in the bathroom with her. They wanted to make sure that he wasn’t given any meds by Britney or had marks on him. TMZ has the numbers of the actual ambulances that carried both Britney and Jayden, so yes, he was taken to the hospital. After he got the all clear, Kevin took him home.
Years ago, I was involved in a car accident (totally not our fault; we were struck from behind by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel of a stolen car), and my daughter was in the car. She was in a safety seat, of course, but there was some broken glass and they wanted to take her to the hospital just to check her out and make sure all was well (it was).

I read somewhere a while back that Britney’s grandmother died because she was schizo and committed suicide at the age of 27. She MUST be put on an anti-psychotic medication, she NEEDS medical treatment… I teach special ed and I see a lot of the her behavior in my students, but they’re minors and can be medicated or under psychiatric treatment if their parents allow it. Britney is an adult, and their hands are tied, I believe, because if her chemical imbalance is dictating to her, she is beyond logical thought and cannot be forced to do anything. If ANY good were to come out of this, it would be that she is diagnosed properly, given the right meds, and becomes a healthy parent. Another thing would be if this finally shone a light on mental illness in this country. It’s obvious that britney can’t cope by herself, and mental illness or not, she’s going to need to get out of the spotlight, have some serious therapy, and be taught life skills. For whatever reason, she can’t make the right decisions by herself, and she needs a lot of help, which she probably won’t accept by herself. Lets hope the state of California grows a pair and mandates it before she really harms herself or her kids.
Britney can’t cope at all. Those are unfortunately usually the people who decide that they want a baby. This is different from wanting to be a parent. When she kept talking about wanting a baby, I remember shuddering and thinking, “This woman doesn’t know WHAT she wants.” What she wants and what she needs are totally different, which is pathetic. In NYC, you can have mentally ill people on the street, and there are reports of them stabbing others, people being pushed on the subway tracks, etc, because you can’t force adults to take their meds or submit to treatment. I’m all for personal rights, but by allowing their chemical imbalances to run them, they are ruining those lives and the lives of people they encounter (ask Sean and Jayden).

As a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 4 I can tell you all of them have had bruises more time than I can count. What I read was that Britney found the bruise on the baby and flipped out. she locked herself in the room with him, crying uncontrolabley that she didnt do it. The court reporter called the police because Britney wouldnt let the baby go with the bodyguard back to K-fed.

If she wasn’t a threat, they wouldn’t have been able to hold her on a 5150 (involuntary admission for psychiatric evaluation). She HAD to be considered a danger to herself and/or others after a preliminary psychiatric evaluation at the hospital, or the hospital wouldn’t have allowed her admission. (You can look up the code if you want, it’s pretty interesting reading.)

“There was a time where she was within the residence and wasn’t available to be speaking to the officers, apparently,” she said. “There was no threat to the children.”
“Police resolved the conflict,” Aguirre said. “Both children were turned over to her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody, and she was in fact taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.”
Early police reports said officers thought Spears might have been under the influence of some substance, but Aguirre said there was no evidence of that.
“Our understanding is that was not the case,” she said.
Officers at the scene determined that paramedics “needed to be called” but it was unclear why, she said.
“We’re not aware of any type of injuries that she sustained” and she was not combative with authorities, Aguirre said.
Spears wasn’t arrested in connection with the custody dispute, Aguirre said.
“There was no actual crime that was involved,” the police spokeswoman said.
I don’t know who this Aguirre person is but he/she must be in charge of covering up the messy stuff for celebrities. The police had to assume there was a threat to the children during the incident because at least one of them was locked in the bathroom with Brit, who was crying uncontrollably and who was known to have drug problems and was exhibiting signs of mental illness. Maybe, after the fact, you can speculate that there wasn’t a threat but who knows what could have happened. She was taken to the hospital because they thought she was on some kind of drug and may have been trying to off herself with an overdose. And, yes, it is a crime to not return your children after visitation, at least for us normal people. Amber alerts are put out all the time when parents don’t return their children. I’m sure they didn’t charge her because she is mentally ill and Kevin probably didn’t want to file anything against her.

I have six kids who all have kids we have never had anything like this happen in our family but there are times when one does need help with coping…we all stick together and us as parents offer extra support and care to the one in need….if there were to act like Britney has been for the past year we would have made her seek help or got it for her if she wouldn’t co operate. Her parents ask for prayers she needs help…she needs to be out of the public eye and to get well…she needs to be taught how to be a mother from what I can see,and how to look after herself and her kids. What else is there to say? This is a blessing in disguise. It will take this much for the the LAW to intervene and declare her mentally incompetent. Only at this point that her next of kin can step-in and take over her life. She is an adult. No one can take away her right to screw up her life until she endangers herself and/or others. I think Britney was the family cash cow and supporting them for years- I don’t get why her parents never got JOBS- and even Christina Aguilera has said that people don’t understand the pressure Britney’s been under since she was a child. Britney has also been cleared of any substance abuse, which is really scary, because it has finally come to light that she is seriously mentally ill, the kind you don’t have a choice with and the kind where you don’t get to live your life without meds.
I think we’ve all witnessed the End of Britney, I only wish her the best and peace , Away from all the contributing factors in her illness . Love you Britney Get well hon.

I blame the press, Brit has been in the public eye since she was a kid. Everything she did it was in the papers the most smallest things even eating at a fast food resturant so what we do it to. It must b stressful and i know it’s there job to be in the public eye just like other celebs but people handle it differently and i think she has gone through tough times that she couldn’t get out of easily. I hope she gets well soon and fights back for her kids showing the world that she can be a mum.
It’s the presses fault. Yeah that’s the ticket. They force her to go out in clubs everynight and leave her kids with the nanny. They force her to use drugs with their taser like cameras that she tried to avoid by all accounts. Can you blame her weave on the press to? Just wondering.
Get it through your thick skull. She did not use drugs and she doesn’t frequent clubs. She has a mental disorder. It is out of her hands.
She doesn’t use drugs and she doesn’t go to clubs. Did they make up the pictures of her going out? Oh, that must’ve been an imposter. What about the judge finding her a drug user? Oh, he’s got a thick skull too I guess, seeing that he has reports that we haven’t seen. Mental disorder, yeah that’s the ticket, K-Fed, it’s everyone elses fault how she acts. She makes no decisions on her own! It’s the voices in her heads fault! You are delusional.
The press is at fault for certain things, and not just with Britney. They follow her everywhere to get money shots and it can’t be easy to have flashes going off when you’re being strapped to a gurney and your entire existence is falling apart. The press/paparazzi has been out of control for years with following celebrities and shooting photos into their windows and on vacations, etc.
Did you ever think that maybe the press follows her so much because she constantly gives them a story? Of course they are going to follow her, when DON’T they get the money shot? She loves the press but wants to blame them when something goes wrong.
They don’t just hound her- Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, Jennifer Garner (is there a saner parent in Hollywood than her?), Christina Aguilera…. the list goes on and on. They hound a lot of celebrities who don’t give them money shots or stories. As a whole, there needs to be laws to restrict what they can do. They’re total stalkers. As for Britney, I don’t think the press is at fault for her breakdown, but their contributions don’t help. Being loaded into an ambulance that they’re endlessly photographing while having a breakdown is not at all helpful or useful and has to be stressful.
oh yeah, i have to admit that that was just terrible. Watching that video of all the paps smearing themselves onto the ambulance windows was just sickening. I am what you call a “hater” and I thought that was disturbing. I would go as far to say that the paparazzi aren’t even people. Look at ‘em!! They look like mindless zombies searching for a brain!! (yeah, i know, they are searching in the wrong place if they are looking for brains)
I work with children from 12 mnths - 2 yrs and there are accidents we couldn’t prevent because kids are kids the explore, do things and play with things they no the shouldn’t. We were all kids once and we got the odd bruise does that mean our parents did it - NO.This world has gone crazy just because a child gets a bruise it dont mean nothing.
if the bruise accusations are true, they were probably just checking to see IF Britney caused the bruise. Just procedure
Do any of you have children? Are you aware of how easily a child can get a bruise, particularly at that age? I agree with Kelly, the world has gone crazy if a child having a bruise causes this much uproar. I personally think that Britney is bipolar and is having a really, really bad manic phase. I am bipolar myself so I feel for her in that sense. Judge not lest ye be judged.
I agree with your comment here, however, in this case it had to be investigated. I don’t honestly think if she did bruise him she did it on purpose. I think she is a lot of things but I don’t really see her beating her kids. However, with him being locked in a room with him in the state they are saying she was in, they had to investigate.
