Two of the five Spice Girls confessed to dealing with eating disorders, more specifically bulimia, during the height of their success. And no, Victoria wasn’t one of them.
PageSix reveals that the gals in question are Geri Halliwell and Melanie C.
Mel C. spoke out in a TV special about their reunion,
My biggest, biggest fear, and it made me feel nauseous just thinking about it, was that the papers were going to say I’d put on weight,. All through the Spice Girls I was terribly in control of what I was eating. I wasn’t eating properly and I was over exercising. I was very skinny. I found having an eating disorder really embarrassing.
The other girls chimed in,
Victoria: “I feel ashamed of myself that I didn’t give Melanie C. more time. I didn’t realize she had the issues that she had.”
Mel B: “Even though we were that close, there were certain things you just don’t talk about unless you feel there’s a window in there.”
Here are four of the Spices celebrating New Years at Claridges in London.

Glad they were honest about it. Others may learn
I already knew Mel C. was a great person, a sincere and honest one.
And Posh, oh, all she can do is just feeling ashamed. That’s the proper way she should feel all the time.
It definitely takes guts to admit to having an eating disorder. Hopefully this spice girl announcement will make more people step forward and admit they need help. If you think you might know someone with an eating disorder, pass along this quiz developed by the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt(www.eatingdisorder.org/about_eating_disorders/resources/quiz.php) to help them identify if they are just uber-healthy or may need help dealing with an eating disorder.
