Jamie Lynn Spears‘ TV show Zoey 101 has reportedly been canceled. Nickelodeon will air its final episode of the third season on Friday and the fourth season has already been completed.
After dropping the baby bomb on the world, the network released a statement, saying:
We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.
No word yet on if the fourth season will be aired at all, but for now an insider for The Sun says, “For now it looks like it has been canned.”

This is too bad, but it doesn’t surprise me at all. I never for a minute believed that Nickelodeon wouldn’t can her.
Now just last night the entertainment shows and cnn’s showbiz tonight were all saying that Nickelodeon had decided to keep Zooey 101. That it would air the season finale and it would air season 4. They said Nickelodeon would see how they did and then decide whether to keep it going after that.
Mikey I too watched all the shows saying they were going to keep it on. Guess it is causing to much negative feedback to leave it on. Either you take off one show or lose viewers for all shows. No brainer.
It was always going to happen. Nick dont want to look like they support teen pregnancies by keeping the show on the air.
If this is true, is it really shocking. Nickelodeon made the right move
Well, especially since it’s now looking like she may have slept with one of the shows producers, there would be a big push to have the show cancelled, and to have the possible pedophile fired, as well. Whether she really screwed a producer or not, matters not, the mere idea that a pedophile may be producing their shows is bad for the network, and gives them reason to drop this subject as quickly as possible. And if this is true, it’s really sad, and you have to wonder how many other child stars have been preyed upon. Like as not, this was a one time event as JL may have tried to sleep her way to the top. The rumour is that her family payed Casey to say he was the father, but from what we’ve seen of him in the press, he doesn’t seem to care about JL. My guess is, that if he isn’t really the daddy, eventually he will clear his name. We may hear of these rumours again years from now.
