I agree we all have done things wrong in the past, but I have to agree with Carrie’s point of view where the Mother Spears (Lynn) should have done better parenting to little Jamie Lynn. I mean at that age we feel some many different new emotions about ourselves and for others that it is hard to contain. I believe through education and understanding can young people be prepared for this world.
As far as Nickelodeon supporting her in her well being which is good, but the fact is she is a role model to the show’s young fans and this will definitely present a negative image by saying its okay to do what she did. Saying that somebody get pregnant by “accident” or “mistake” is the most annyoing, and ignorant statement to make. I really hate it when people say that. They might not have “meant” for it to happen, but when you have sex, you are taking more responsibility than you ever want to think about, no matter what the outcome. Babies are not accidents. To some people they are the “I hope this doesn’t happen/but we used contraception” results of lovers who didn’t think it could happen to them (at least at that point in time). The nature of sex is to produce offspring, so calling the offspring an accident or a mistake is just ridiculous and an uneducated statement.

I mean what kind of parent would allow their daughter have their boyfriend who is considered an Adult living in the same household as their “under aged” child. Yes, I have a daughter who is 16 years old as well and I have taught her everything that will help prepare her to make the decisions in life even sex at the early age of 10, I tell her that you can’t do that sort of thing as long as you are living under my household and drilled in her head that it is a thing you do when you get married. its all about how you go about getting that idea in your child’s head.

First of all I don’t think there should be any swearing or bad language online. If any of you are parents, that is one of the things you should not do, cuss. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. I am not saying that parents who abuse their children like shake them up, etc. are good. On the other hand people get frustrated and unfortunately the wrong people get affected. The bad parents are very rare. Most parents, at least mothers, have a special bond with their children despite what the mothers do or say. Deep down there is a love. If Lynne Spears was such a bad mother, why was she not reported? The minute a mother makes a mistake, she is bad. Remember mothers are humans as well and need support. Who knows what kind of childhood Lynne had. I am not making excuses for her but I am trying to empathize. That is the Christian way to go. This is Christmas and bashing others is not the way to go. As long as the country makes commonlaw relationships acceptable and as long as there are condoms and birth control pills, teens and others will be having sexual relations. Maybe you people in America should talk to your politicians. As long as there are drugs rampant, there will be problems. As long as parents are not allowed to discipline their child the way they see fit without the interference of officials, there will be problems. Moral decadence has been rampant for years.
