Best Songs of 2007, Really?

Rolling Stones has composed a list of the 100 best songs of 2007. There are some songs I definitely add and others I’d remove, but overall I think it’s a solid list.

1 “Roc Boys” Jay-Z
2 “A Few Words in Defense of Our Country” Randy Newman
3 “Umbrella” Rihanna
4 “D.A.N.C.E.” Justice
5 “Four Winds” Bright Eyes
6 “Dough Is What I Got” Lil Wayne
7 “Rehab” Amy Winehouse
8 “Long Walk Home” Bruce Springsteen
9 “Boyz” M.I.A.
10 “Int’l Player’s Anthem” UGK

Check out the rest of the list.

This is just ridiculous. THIS?! This is what is considered good music at this period of time?! Thank God for Real Underground Baby.

I do have to agree that the standard for GOOD has diminished greatly

Yeah well, Rolling Stone has been steadily going down hill. They’re listening to their wallets, not the people.

the list wasn’t bad, but for me 2007 was about discovering music in new languages. i LOVED Manu Chao’s “Me Llaman Calle” from his album ‘La Radiolina.’ Time named it song #8 - http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/top10/article/0,30583,1686204_1686244_1690649,00.html

So out of the loop. I haven’t even listened to many of those songs. But then again radio play mostly bores me

Okay I just clicked the video and heard Jay-Z’s song. Are you kidding me? Is this the best 2007 had to offer?
