After adopting Zahara, Angelina Jolie was told that her new baby’s natural mother had died of AIDS. Little did she know that Zahara’s mother, Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, is alive and well, but also that the man who arranged the adoption has been threating her family and trying to keep Mentewab quiet.

You’re kidding with posting this, right? This is really OLD news. The biological mother has come forward to say she was misquoted, she’s not angry, in fact she thinks her daughter is very lucky to be adopted by Angelina and she wishes them both well.
Yes old news…and seems to be straightned out.
But if you walk in to a third world adoption agency with your celebrity sized wallet wide open….whatwould you expect to happen?
And somewhere in the middle is an innocent child, who grow up and read this news article some day….this report is supposedly false, but what about the next one?

Isn’t it suspicious that the adoptions of all of her adopted children have been with shady adoption agencies? Maddox’ agency got shut down after he was adopted, a fallout from the media blowout. And then there are still questions about the way she abducted Poor Pax, while lying that she was single, when the whole world is aware that she has a live-in boyfriend/baby daddy. And now, Zahara’s mother is still alive and again, more questions about the adoption agency.
I really wish people would stop sucking up to this homewrecking anorexic ho, and do a real investigation of all these adoptions. Regular people will never get away with what she is getting away with. So far, she keeps lying about her adopted children being orphans, but it always comes to light that there parents are still ALIVE. In essence, all of her adopted kids have living parents.
That’s the chance you take when things arn’t on the up and up. Maybe she should stop adopting children like stray cats. There are reputable agencies right here in the good old USA and many in this country that could use a good, loving home. But that doesn’t make as good a publicity opprotunity.
As an African American, I find Angelina’s behavior appalling. If she truly cared about the well-being of Zahara, she would have tried to introduce her to her Ethiopian culture years ago, regardless of the circumstances of her mother. She has repeatedly taken Maddox to Cambodia, bought a home for him there, and started a Cambodian charity in his name. Why won’t she do the same for Zahara. She thinks Zahara is her little Black accessory, rather than a human being with a history and a heritage. The stories of Zahara’s mother have been circulating for years, but Angelina has not responded. She is subjecting Zahara’s family to suffering in the present and Zahara to suffering in the future. When Zahara asks Angelina and Brad why they didn’t take her to meet her biological mother who longed for her, what will they tell her? Will they say that it was bad for their image? That their reputation was more important than her quality of life? This is racist and disgusting behavior.
hi just wondering so don’t bit my head off but how do you know how much Ethiopian culture zahara has been exposed too no one does unless there are around that family all day every day. and as for a charity i am always thought that the jolie pitt foundation was for all 4 of the kids.
Di— I think you are way off on how she treats Z and her other children. If it is true that her mother was raped, what child should be told of the origins of her birth. And where is the DNA test; it takes more than a photo to prove relation. Why expose your child to such unnecessary emotional and psychological trauma to feed public interest. Secondly, it is well known how very sickly Z was at the time of adoption. AJ was worried that she would die even after they had gotten her back to the U.S. As for Maddox visiting Cambodia, she took him when he was older, Z is still only 2, what can she remember? As an African American as well, just the publications African women face daily is not something that a child should be exposed to right now, and at an age where they are still trying to teach their children fundamentals- colors, counting, drawing etc, but learning about her birth and controversy surrounding her adoption, it is best that they do what is best for their daughter and not for public interest. Even children who are adopted domestically do not learn of their family ties until they are emotionally able to handle it. Seriously - an accessory, she has in no way has treated her children as accessories their is a serious distinction of her mothering skills vs. Unfitney. Both AJ and BP are great parents irrespective of their race and their childrens’ race. With managing very successful careers, you routinely see them spending special time with each child and that doesn’t include driving them to starbucks or through a drive-in at carls jr.
