Ashlee Simpson begged a photog not to take her picture last week during a cigarette break outside boyfriend Pete Wentz’s East Village bar, Angels and Kings. “I don’t want my fans knowing I smoke!” she pleaded. “It’s so bad, but I just crave nicotine sometimes.”

Ashlee, I know this is a little bit complicated, but you crave nicotine because it’s an addictive drug, and you’re an addict.
There are plenty of things out there that can help you get past those cravings. Gum, patches, probably other things you could get from your doctor.
Of course, you have to WANT to quit your addiction…
