Isla Fisher gave birth to her first baby, Olive, with fiance Borat, I mean, Sacha Baron Cohen. And this is how amazing her body looks already, after 21 days. How do these celebs do it? Unbelievable!
No necessarily plastic surgery. My sister gave birth to twins two and half weeks ago and she’s already almost back to her regular body. Just a bit of a tummy. Breast feeding really helps get one’s body back in shape - burns calories and makes the uterus contract.
And if you’re active during pregnancy and eat right… AND IT DOESN’T HURT THAT THEY HAVE MONEY FOR TOP NOTCH PERSONAL TRAINERS!!! Every body is different and will react different. My aunt, for instance, can be 11 months pregnant, and not look but a bit bloated… And yes, I know one doesn’t carry for 11 months…I was trying to make a point. But she can be at term and not even look it, so…
Well, first of all there are different body types. Some have to work hard to get their body back and some are just lucky and don’t have to do anything. Also breastfeeding has a lot to do with it, it really helps to loose weight.
But of course it’s a lot easier if you have the money for a nanny and a personal trainer to work on those extra pounds.
I also read somewhere, AOL maybe, that if you wrap your torso in ace bandages when you leave the hospital, right after childbirth, that you will lose weight faster. When I have kids, I’ll give it a try.
I wonder if ace bandages would help me drop the last few pounds I’m trying to loose…I didn’t have a baby or anything, I’m just tryin’ to loose a little bit more weight!!!
How is it nonsense? Wrapping your flabby stomach (since it is) in ace bandages is restricting it. Just like a corset. It’s an alternative to using a corset. No nonsense at all.
Wow you really have NO clue what you are talking about do you? Have you ever been pregnant? Do you even have kids? Probably not since all mothers have been told by a Dr to constrict their stomach to start the sinking in. By constricting your stomach, it starts to stuck it back in. The reason your stomach is like that is because your muscles have been stretched out, muscles, just like for umblicial hernias, pull in your body. Not all baby weight is “fatty tissues”. MOST of my weight, but that last 10, was all baby weight. Baby weight, basic biology, is placenta, baby, fluids, etc (if you stay within the range which I did up until my last month when I balloned out (was retaining water really bad and still did up to 6 weeks after having him). Your stomach sags after having a child because it’s been stretched out WICKED far. You could be back to your prepregnancy weight the next day after having a child but your stomach will still sag for at least 2 weeks after. Binding your stomach like that, will help the stomach sink back in.

Actually, I have a son, born two years ago. My GP never told me to constrict my stomach, instead he told me to start exercising. So that’s what I did. I ended up in much better shape then before the pregnancy, and it only took 6 wks.
Yeah, someone, know your shit before you call me uneducated, asshole! I read it yesterday moring on AOL, and a few of the comments said the same thing, and they actually said it works. And Holly confirmed it. Dumbass. Why don’t you try being nice for once? you may get through life a little better.
resculpting knickers/pants - Dr Motha explains that a woman’s ribs flare out an inch or two during pregnancy. After the birth, there is a sudden emptiness in the mother’s body and fat can build up. In many parts of the world, mothers wear long strips of cotton bound tightly around the ribs to improve the body’s shape and to support the organs. Rather than resort to lengths of cotton, Dr Motha has inspired the design of the knickers which reach up to the bust and apply pressure to the ribs.
It is common practice in India to bound the tummy, to help prevent the womb from “dropping”, ie that is why after having a baby you are advised not to lift anything heavy…
I just remembered what my grandmother told me about loosing baby weight. Back when she had her kids (in the 1940’s and 1950’s) they let the women carry bags with sand in them after childbirth. She told me that’s what the nurses did in the hospital, lol. I’m not sure how healthy that is but it helped. :D

I gave birth to my son and when I left the hospital I only had 10 pds more to lose. Not everyone has stuff done to them to lose weight.

Then you let us know…. I’ll try anything!!

what a stupid notion. Are you really that uneducated to believe such nonsense?

basic biology, hun… how is constricting one’s torso going to assist in the loss of fatty tissue?
