Alicia Keys Doesn’t Take BS

Her bodyguards, friends, and even boyfriend waited inside for her while Alicia drove around then neighborhood. waiting for her. Outside, Keys drove around the neighborhood and by the time the promoters did come up with the money, Alicia was already home sleeping. Rumor has it that the piano princess did not know that fans inside had paid $25 a pop to see her.

These promoters were digging in their pockets, looking for cash, and were still short. The owner of the club even offered to pay the remainder of the owed money himself, just to get her in the club.

Upon hearing of this story, her manager, Jeff Robinson, retorted black with:

This is the first I’ve heard of that. I never heard she was getting paid at all. There was a lot of mismanagement by these club promoters, and that’s about all I know.

Ironically, in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, Alicia Keys revealed that she had a hard time trusting people.
