The Eagles sold over 700,000 in their first week, but the only reason Britney even debuted at #1 instead of #2 is because the Eagles album “Long road out of Eden” is only available at Wal-mart, thus not qualifying to be featured on the Billboard charts.

Her album DID NOT tank like many people wanted it to. The sales are on par with what the other pop acts out today. This is despite the disastrous VMA performence, negative, press and no promotional appearences. That is a true testament to her popularity and longevity.
