The judge has slammed his gavel and ruled that Britney Spears has not regained custody of her kids. TMZ reports that Britney must submit evidence that she childproofed her pool area by Friday.
Britney did, however get three monitored visits per week, two from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 PM and one overnight visit. (Originally, TMZ had stated 2 visits, but later changed it to 3.)
Spears and K-Fed are ordered to figure out holiday schedules with the kids.
The Commish wrote that when Britney has the kids, “the environment at the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all.” The Commish also recounts what the parenting coach complained of — that “during all three of my visits, Ms. Spears rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play.”
The parenting coach also spoke of Spears, saying that she seemed to have “a lack of general attention at times” but there was nothing she would characterize as “abusive in a traditional sense. The problem is that unless Ms. Spears realizes the consequences of her behavior and the impact that it has [on] her children, nothing is going to be successful.”
It’s sad because this is the most important time in those kids’ personal developement. She’s inflicting on them long-term “mommy issues” and will have trouble connecting with them from now forward, no matter how fast she cleans up her act. One day she is going to be riddled with guilt, no matter how much she’d be prefer to party now. It’s not like she’s stuggling to survive with two jobs as a single mom, which makes her doubly selfish.
Nothing will get better for her or her children until she seeks the mental and physical help she desparetly needs. I hope for the sake of her children, she will do this soon.
I love how you fail to report that the Judge granted her 2 daytime visits and 1 overnight visit a week with her kids. You copy and pasted pretty much everything TMZ reported but you left that out. Biased writing as it’s finest right here!

Holly, honestly do you feel like the judge is being unfair or do you feel like Britney is unfit to care for her kids? I have to say that I cannot tell. I used to think the judge was just being hard on her and all of that, but now i can tell that she really has some issues. Tell me what you think?

UH…no…he granted one daytime from 12-7, and one overnight, from 12p-10a… You must get your Britney news from a very one sided x17….and they’re wrong….unless People.com and ok-magazine.com are wrong….but everything I’ve seen says that she gets TWO visits…

Well, then SOMEONE is wrong in all of this stuff cause everyone else, with the exception of US WEEKLY is reporting TWO visits. I trust People Magazine over all the other places, and they said TWO visits…. So before you get all up in my face and call me a KNOW IT ALL, maybe you should go and check out the places I’VE been quoting because I’ve gotten my info from them…. Maybe she misquoted someone, but also could have seen everyone else reporting TWO visits….so they changed it. But all other GOOD sources for celeb dirt say TWO visits….

The judge didn’t “grant” her anything. The custody battle was for 50/50 and Britney lost it. Again. When the law refuses to give a mother her children, she didn’t “win” anything…she just proved how irresponsible she is. She can’t tote her kids around on her hip a few days a week while she shops and grabs starbucks and honestly expect people to think she’s really interested in them. Its clear with her stumbling out of a nightclub the night before her custody hearing….that she isn’t that worried or distressed about having her children back. In fact, she purposely appears to sabatoge herself to NOT get them back. Any half decent mother that had her children taken away from her would go above and beyond to get them back…. britney barely even shows up to pick them up. She’s a pitiful woman and mother.
She didn’t lose anything yet. There’s a hearing set for Nov 26. Youd don’t lose custody of your children and expect to gain it back within weeks. This is a serious matter and it takes time. She has to prove to the judge that she is responsble and seriosu about getting her children back. In the past few weeks she has complied with the orders. She’s trying so get over it.

If Britney isn’t really interacting with her kids, then she isn’t raising them — she’s neglecting them.
She may love her kids, but it doesn’t sound like she is really interested in them or does not find them to be interesting (maybe because they are so young). It sounds like she has depression or is just too selfish, because she is too self-involved and not giving her kids enough attention.
It is RIDICULOUS that anyone of you defend her this time. did you see the reports? It is heartbreaking. I grew up in that type of enviornment until I was, thank GOD, taken from my parents custody to my grandparents….Some of the things the judge and the parenting coach say she is doing is so, very horrible for a child and can have severe effects. Its sad.
You guys, you may be a fan of hers, but that doesn’t mean everyone who says things that are negative about her are being unfair or wrong. This is a judge, this is a parenting coach, who’s job is to be fair and nonbiased. Training in this is essential. She knows what she is talking about. Britney is wrong.

I don’t have any doubt that Britney loves her kids, but she’s not a good mother. You don’t automatically gain parenting skills just by having a baby cut out of your belly, and just “loving” them doesn’t mean anything if she’s not paying attention to them, not taking any advice from the parenting coach, not providing them with a schedule, and dragging them around with her to just do whatever she feels like doing. Mothers are supposed to be child-centered. Britney is NOT. She is BRITNEY-CENTERED. That is not a good environment in which to grow up, knowing your own mother was more interested in shopping, Frappucino, and her dog than she was in you!
I completely agree with everything you said. She loves her kids, I have no doubt. But she needs serious help. And I think that is something everything agrees on.

Britney Spears’s visitation rights with her kids are being scaled back after a parenting coach says the singer “rarely engaged with [her] children in either conversation or play” during their monitored time together.
The revelation is one of many included in court documents released Tuesday in Spears’s custody case. The parenting coach said the pop star’s behavior improved, but the report was still enough for the judge to whittle down Spears’s visitation time to two days a week. (She previously had access to them roughly every other day.)
The two visits, which will be monitored, will only occur from 12-7 p.m. on one day, with an overnight from 12 p.m. to 10 a.m. on another day.
The next hearing for Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline is Nov. 26.

Britney is on the road to recovery. she is doing much much better. i don’t believe the parenting coach. how much is she getting paid to post negative remarks about Britney? her ex wants more money so he is fighting for custody. he filed for custody and Brit has to pay his lawyer ? everyone making money off Brit. she loves her kids and she takes good care of them. would you enjoy your kids when they are visiting and some parenting coach is lurking around and invent Brit’s negative behavior. i believe completely on Brit’s permanent recovery to a healthy mental, emotional and psychological state. so leave her alone who else is in line to exploit money off Brit ?
