I have mad respect for Kelly pushing her new album forward even though it should have never seen the light of day. Her new single for “Don’t Waste Your Time” is very blah. I have high expectations of Kelly because I KNOW she can reach them, and when she does, it’s like the formation of a rainbow…beautiful.

your such a hater….if you appreciated REAL music, not JUST pop bullshit, you would be able to appreciate the emotional richness of this album…the songs are AMAZING…just because they arent dancy, happy giggly pop/rock tracks does not make them bad, not everyobdy’s life is like that, so get over it…she wrote and sings about the truth, this album is genius, it’s my favorite of the year, and you need to keep your lame opinions to yourself and lay off the happy pills bitch

I agree with Jake. She’s a real artist, singer, and she is original. I really love the album, and I have a lot of respect for Kelly as an entertainer. Now go post some lame shit about Britney because those are the only posts you guys get commented on.
I totally agree with Jake. I went through a HORRIBLE break up at Christmas last year, and EVERYTHING on this album sums up how I was feeling then, how I feel now, how I’ve felt in between. Each song is a bit different than the previous track, but they are so raw, so deep, so real, so true…She STILL has my deepest respect, and I think it’s because her music is my life on record it seems like. I can relate so well. So don’t try to put this stuff down…

I heard her entire album for free on AOL and the only song I like is the first single “Never Again.” I don’t think that the lyrics from the other songs are bad. I just don’t find the melodies interesting.

Doing idol stuff as in, songs written by people who are actually able to put music to the words, not just write a good poem and strum your guitar to it. The lyrics may be deep and appealing and whatnot, but if you want that read a book.
This is a problem for a lot of artists trying to “keep it real” - too often they can sing and write lyrics but are to damn proud to realize their shortcomings when it comes to writing the music.
