Antidepressants cause side effects than can be really quite uncomfortable…the nicotine counteracts those side affects which is why many mental heath patients end up smoking even if they never did before. Unfortunately, what the mental health professionals have glossed over all these years is that the side effects go away because the nicotine counteracts the anti-depressants abilty to work at all.
