What do you prefer, the natural or the glammed up look?

I prefer the natural look. The glammed up look is just so unrealistic but Sex and the City is just a fantasy set in NYC. I think some of the outfits for this film are a big no,no. Not even in the shows do they wear outfits so…loud and bright in colors. It’s too much. I think they are just over glamorizing an already glamorized show. I love the show but I’m afraid that the movie will be even less realistic. They are after all older and seemingly more mature with at least two of them playing mothers. I can understand Sarah Jessica Parker’s character wearing outrageous outfits and Kim Cattrall’s character wearing bright power suits but Miranda and Charlotte should be wearing more classic and simplistic outfits. I think Kristin Davis and SJP could definitely wear the natural look in the movie. They don’t have to be dressed up in every scene. I can understand dressing up to go out in the evening but on a normal day in NYC, jeans and a nice shirt can also be glamorous.

Hon, It’s Sex And The City, that is the way the show ALWAYS was.

One more thing, why should they wear more “classic and simplistic outfits” just because they have kids? They can’t be chic and a mom? And when the show was on, that is how it was, where they were “dressed up” every episode. That is why the show was such a hit, because they looked so good. It’s not about real women, which is what you seem to want, it’s about chic stylish clothes and shoes.

Have you seen some of the outfits they are wearing in this movie? The problem isn’t that they are glamorous. The problem is that the outfits are plain ugly. Too much color and flowers. I don’t know what they are trying to do. The outfits worn on the show look much better. And no, they were not always dressed up like this on the show.

HAH!!! You should see how Sarah Jessica Parker dresses in her ordinary life. Ugly as this is, it’s a 100% improvement of what she wears on her own vices.

I like both too. I will also take every pair of shoes in all of these pics, especially the zebra print stilettos.

SJP’s dress is HIDEOUS so she looks better natural. I think the other 2 look cute glammed up.

The show is about taking fashion chances.Even the tutu in the opening ad was considered controversial. These women defined words like manolos and prada and dont you forget it.
