There is trouble on the horizon for the 7th season of “24″ which just began filming as of a few weeks ago. Kiefer Sutherland, who plays hero Jack Bauer who always manages to save the world from either a bad ass terrorist group or a corrupt president was arrested last night for driving under the influence. It all happened at around 1 AM on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly, which put him right by The Beverly Center.
Sutherland was arrested and taken to the Hollywood Police Station, according to TMZ. He has a prior history of alcohol abuse, but, could it just have been a few drinks at KOI before heading back home?
Too bad…..I’m one of his biggest fans.

I’m so sick of all of these stars. They can get do drugs and drink in the club or at home and kill themselves for all I care but driving under the influence is no joke. Innocent people on the road don’t deserve to die because of their stupidity. If I had that kind of money I’d hire a full time chauffeur if I was getting fucked up all the time. These stars never learn.
I agree 100% drinking and driving is NO JOKE! BUT you do need to consider the factor that some people do have real alcohol issues, and just saying you hope they kill themselves isn’t the answer for any human! I’m not saying its right in any form but yeah some people are stupid and just drive, others are trying to cop with serious life issues and you shouldn’t group the two types by any means. If he does have a problem then I hope more then anything this is a life changing event for him.
They need to stop harassing the partygoing crowd and eliminate drunk driving laws. As long as no one is hurt it should be perfectly legal to get blasted out of your gourd and hit the highway. How the hell else are you supposed to get home from the bar?
.08% is ridiculous. It should be at least double that.
MADD is out of control.
You are kidding right?
I live in Croatia (EU) and we have here 0,0%, 0,1% is permitted. Anything beyond will cost you your driver license and a rather high fine.
Wow! They don’t mess around in Croatia.
Please, this is a victimless crime. Our DUI laws are draconian. Anyone killed in a car accident is tragic, it’s not automagically moreso just because one driver (the negligent one or not) has had a few. It’s just as tragic when somebody stone sober kills someone because they were messing with their CD changer, talking on their cell phone, or just otherwise not paying attention.
Kiefer didn’t hurt anyone with his actions here, at least no more than were injured by his performance in “Young Guns II”
Wow Ruben, is this all you have to say about this guy? If it would have been Britney charged with the DUI YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT HOW SHE COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEBODY OR HOW SHE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HER KIDS OR HOW SHE IS LETTING HER FANS DOWN OR HOW SHE BLAH BLAH BLAH!
“He has a prior history of alcohol abuse, but, could it just have been a few drinks at KOI before heading back home?”
“Too bad…..I’m one of his biggest fans”
Maybe Paris and Lindsey had a few drinks as well so how come no love for them?
Double standards I guess . . .
There is no double standard.
Did Keifer hit cars with an umbrella and flashed his privates like 10 times (etc)?
Think, people………………….
gosh.. and again.. all of you have to mention britney..
get a life moron..
Welcome to the moron club, Kenny.
You just mentionned Britney! Like omg!!!111!
isn’t this guy a father to a young daughter?
It’s the attack of the DUI monster again! I feel like that is all I’ve heard about this year, well, besides Britney!
Stozzel - You may be correct in your assumption that a death is still a death regardless if it originated from a drunk or sober individual . . . but there still needs to be a black and white line that citizens can abide by.
An individual that is drunk or just a tiny bit buzzed is going to have a higher % chance of being involved in an automobile accident over someone that is sober - Those are just the facts.
There have been times that I myself have driven home from a club buzzed out or drunk. The dashed lines and the traffic lights were blurred from my vision and my reflexes were delayed and not as sharp when slowing down. That was a few years ago during my partying days and luckily I did not get caught (I’m 26 now) but regardless shame on me I had no bussiness being out on the roads buzzed and no one else should be as well.
I am from Saskatchewan, Canada not too far from the birth place of Kiefers family heritage and quite frankly I am really upset that he would disapoint us small town people that admire and are so proud to have his roots here. The fact that he has money and fame does not give him the right to drive drunk and risk the lives of innocent people. A public responce with attempts to get help and help others in this situation would be the least he can do!!
wow i am going to be so mad if season 7 gets delayed…i mean we already have to wait like until january to see the next season..this is THE BEST SHOW on tv…im so mad that kiefer would do this to his life it makes me sad that these hollywood stars go out and wreck their lives… i think that we need to go get jack bauer to knock some sense into kiefer sutherland
Jessie
I’m going to look into this and let you know what I find.

As a Canadian, as a human being, and as the niece of an Aunt slaughtered by a drunk driver, I am saddened by the actions of Keifer Sutherland. His Grandfather was a Canadian hero, the Father of Universal Health Care, saving countless lives. I guess we see what Keifer’s legacy will eventually be; innocent human carnage on the side of a road.
After two previous charges, it’s apparent that Keifer Sutherland is not going to change. Maybe he just thinks he’s better than the rest of us, and the law doesn’t apply to him.
Personally, there is nothing I can do about Keifer Sutherland, except no longer watch 24, or buy a Ford in Canada, or any other product he endorses. That’s all anyone can do that has lost someone to a self-centered, arrogant drunk driver. Too bad there are so many of us out here.
PS I USED to be a fan.
