They had her on the marquee outside The Palms. Everyone has been talking about this performance for months. In fact, there was so much hype around this performance that it almost overshun all other performances up until the show started. So my question is, to Britney and whoever was behind the number. That’s it? You SUCKED. It pains me greatly to say it because I was really looking forward to her finally proving herself, for once. She wasn’t enjoying herself, there was absolutely no energy and frankly, I didn’t see anything here I didn’t see at her House of Blues concert. So, I ask again, that’s it? Regardless of the train-wreck that is Britney and her personal life, this was her chance to nationally and internationally prove that she can still rock as a performer. And she failed. It saddens me to say that the girl that used to sparkle on stage has lost her shine. There was no thrill in her eyes, no passion for what she was doing. The skimpy shiny outfit adorned by bad weave, the “risqué” choreography to which she barely danced to and grabbed the junk of male dancers did not help either. I was really rooting for her man, I was cheering for her to leave everyone with their jaws down to the floor and to have that be “THE” performance of the night, but instead it was Chris Brown’s.
Something definitely went down with Criss Angel because word on the street was that he was booted from the performance, creating a possible explanation for Britney’s unbelievably bad comeback. However, the mark of a professional is to be able to go with whatever happens. I feel like she was drunk. If you look at the first few seconds it seems like she kind of stumbles. It was so bad that even the lip-syncing was a bit off.
Long gone are the days when Britney would come out fully clothed and shock audiences by stripping down to a flesh-colored costume…now she just comes on stage naked and saves everyone the hassle. It’s quite a “comeback” alright. -Carolina

A huge part of this disaster is Britney’s own doing. Instead of partying it up all weekend she should’ve been rehearsing 8+ hours each day for an entire week getting ready for this show. This just shows that no one can really succeed without hard work, passion, and dedication. She no longer has any of those things when it comes to her music or performing on stage. She did not look happy on that stage and I can imagine for many reasons. She was probably nervous and that is what happens when you have to go on stage in front of millions of people unprepared. She looked very unhappy and you could tell in her eyes that she is no longer a girl but a woman with a load of problems she was bringing with her on that stage where she knew everyone on the planet would judge her. You can’t pull something like this off with all of that baggage and emotional problems.
But I will say that I believe that some of the fault lies with MTV and Criss Angel. They both obviously manipulated her into this. MTV only wanted Britney on the show to improve their ratings. They honestly didn’t care about her “comeback”. They knew that whether Britney did a horrible or amazing job that millions would tune in just to see her. That was why they asked her to do this. They have creative control over this show yet they allowed Sarah Silverman to say those very mean things when Britney left the stage. I’m definitely not a Britaloony or a fanatic of hers but I thought her comments went way too far and MTV should not have allowed it. They made a fool of her. And Criss Angel probably used Britney to get his 15 minutes of fame and to get into her pants like all the other men she’s been with in her life. It really sucks. Yes, ultimately Britney is the one who need to take control of her life but when you are surrounded by people who only want to use you I can now believe that those factors have helped contribute to her downfall.

Perez Hilton has gotten to the bottom of that. No one but Sarah knew what she was going to say on stage, so no, Britney did not know beforehand that she and her kids would get bashed. Britney is to blame for her poor performance, no one else.

She also looked like she couldnt walk in those Mariah Carey shoes either. She wasnt ready for that performance, whatever the reasons may be. No passion, no spark, no fire. She was SCARED and you could see the lack of confidence displayed in every step she took.
I was pulling for this girl to blow people away simply because I always root for the underdog. Having said that, Ive seen worse and if she really wants this she will work even harder after what happend last night.
However the whole VMS’s blew chunks. The only good performance was Chris Brown.
I’m not a fan of Justin Timberlake’s but I seriously loved the ending performance when Justin/Nelly/Timbaland performed.
She’s such a disappointment…she was wobbly and she almost tripped in the beginning. Plus, she had those horrible blue contacts in and her hair looked like shit. Personally, she looked tipsy or high…and yepper, super stars were laughing at her. Diddy looked embarrassed for her and Rhiana looked ready to piss herself she was laughing so hard. She had such an amazing chance to prove the world wrong about her and she chose to dress like a $5.99 hooker with a bad wig and lip sync another “PERFORMANCE”! Do it all the way or not at all Britney, Bitch!
AWE..you’re giving her too much credit. I don’t know too many people who would pay a whole $5.99 for that garbage… Even a $.99 is a bit too pricey for THAT crap! It needs to be discounted just to be considered.

I agree… Her performance sucked….but Sarah’s sucked even more!
I have to agree that this was a horrible performence…definitkey not up to Britney’s standards. But I don’t think its the end of the world.
