Can’t wait for the big day? Well, luckily MTV has some insight on what to expect for Britney’s performance this upcoming Sunday.
So Brit will open with the new single, “Gimme More” in an act that will include sexual choreography performed by her, various dancers, and Vegas style aerialists. (Think Cirque Du Soleil, but not!)
With each run-through, a choreographer gives Britney more steps to weave in. The performance will end with Britney doing a “trust fall” into the arms of her backup dancers.
But wait! There’s more…last night Brit was caught leaving the Palms around 4am with Criss Angel driving away in his Lamborghini. Guess rehearsals ran late, huh!

I just saw a clip of her rehearsal and it looks like the same old crap she always does.
Uhm.. her performance on the show right now was HORRIBLE. Wow. There was nothing great about that. At all. She was barely lip synching.. and definitely half-assing the dance moves. She’s never going to pull off a comeback.
wow that performance sucked!! i think she was drunk….and really out of shape she looked like she was dying halfway through, i was wondering if she would even make it the whole song!
wow. i’m ashamed to say that i was actually really excited about her performance. she did sooooooooooooooo bad!!! she put no effort in it at all and she looked hideous from head to toe.
I agree.. the performance was REALLY bad! She didn’t look fit (not that she needs to look like Nicole Richie) but WOW.. it was horrible. The dancing was terrible and her lip synching was even worse. She looked like she was half assing the moves and trying to be 18 again with a 40 year old looking body. A comeback will be hard with that performance.
I agree.. I used to love Britney back in her “slave 4 u” days.. she looked DRUNK, pudgy, and like she has never danced in her LIFE on that stage tonight. I was hoping she might have try to make a decent comeback.. she completely failed. BYE BRITNEY
Oh my gosh, that was the worst MTV performance I have ever seen, did her mic break? Something must have been wrong, noone would say yes to that. It was Terrible, I felt bad for her, Her hair? it wasn’t even brushed, her clothes? Her… everything about that was a sick joke, sorry Brit, I really feel bad for you, but holy shit that was SOOOOOOO Bad.

I am glad others felt the way I did about her performance. I felt like I was watching a quick run through practice of the show. She is not entirely in shape but that could have been fixed by wearing a different outfit. She just didnt seem to care or she was really nervous. Any way you slice it, it was really really really bad. The song however, I like.
She looks terrible. She not the toned, talented (in dance) Britney she used to be. She looked scared and uncomfortable in her own skin. Her choreography was terrible, she didn’t perform it looked like she was just going through the movements. Of course she didn’t actually sing. Her hair was a mess. Those extensions looked amateur. Her dye job sucked. She looked like she hadn’t danced in high heeled boots in years. She almost fell a few time. It was just sad to see how far she hasn’t come. WOW. I expected so much more from her.
performance was terrible. she looked nervous. i feel bad for her, really. she hasn’t performed in 3 years. she’s great, many still love her. …i do. don’t count her out just yet. give her a break….
I am tired of all of the Britney bashing. All of the nasty comments by the morning news shows and Sarah Silverman’s insults were rude, nasty and very unnecessary but I guess these news shows and Sarah Silverman count on bashing others to get ratings instead of offering real talent and real news. Regardless of what people expected, Britney still looked amazing and has made a great comeback. Perhaps her comeback did not fit into your preconceived notions but it was still a great comeback considering where she was last year. If any of you nasty and hurtful people think that you can do better maybe you should contact MTV to open the show next year. Small minded insecure people bash others to make themselves feel better.
alrite. even as a anticipating fan of her comeback performance, i agree that was nowhere near a good performance. but still, she’s made a comeback though not a good one, but she’s back. so like it or not, you’re gonna hear her songs again on radio. you guys should just cut down on the nasty insults. you can just say the performance was bad and end of story. to me, i dun think this performance would be her last. the world is still going to be awed by her next performance, whether in a positive or negative way, but still awed. whatever sarah silverman said was hurtful. i think she acted more like a bitch than britney that day. whats wrong with the people and the nasty insults?
If Britney had some sense in that head of hers she would take this experience and learn from it. She wasn’t trying at all. I can understand nervousness but she looked like she just wasn’t there. I honestly bet she would’ve dropped out but she knew that MTV holds the upperhand. I know some of yall probably think that MTV barely plays music videos anymore–yeah, that’s kinda true. But I bet they totally would’ve backed Britney’s comeback, had her appear on several shows when the album drops, played her new video (once it drops) over and over again, etc. They totally would be in her corner. Do you think MTV will still have her back when that album drops? I highly doubt it….
