Keira Knightley recently voiced her concern over Britney Spears‘ desire to flash her hohaa for the world to see.
Keira said, “I’m not going to get blind drunk and then stumble out and fall over and puke up in front of people. Celebs like her prove they’re sluttier than everybody else ’cause they don’t wear knickers [panties].”
To which, a pissed off Britney retaliated with, “Who’s Keira Knightley?”
Brit was then informed that Ms. Knightley is “one of the most successful actresses in the UK,”

Lol at Britney’s comment saying that someone like Keira Knightley need publicity. I’m sorry but who is the one who has been walking around L.A. drunk and looking a hot mess. Last time I checked Knightley doesn’t have to show her coochie cat or breasts on the streets of L.A. to get attention. The only one who has craved publicity to feed her ego for the last several years is Britney. Knightley is absolutely right. Any woman who feels the need to walk around in short skirts without underwear or low cut tops without bras knowing that their private parts will be exposed has a problem with knowing what their self-worth as a woman and a human being should be. I think many of our American celebrities need to start learning from young British actresses like Knightley, Emma Watson, Kate Winslet, and Rachel Weisz. You will only see some of these women show their body in a tasteful way in critically acclaimed films. Not like a hooker at a night club or on the street.
And you never hear any one of those actresses putting ANYONE down. It’s not where they get their self worth from. If you don’t like someone, you stay away or ignore them. You never hear Emma Watson or Kate Winslet insulting people because they don’t feel the need to. It’s just plain meanness and self righteousness disguised as “this needs to be said”.
It’s sad how she talks about publicity and beeing fame, ’cause if miss britney spears would get attention for her vocal abilities(which she doesn’t have)NOBODY would know who she is! hahahaha =))

There was a time when stars never commented on other stars because they could understand thhe pressures they go through. Unfortunatley no star in the world (except Princess Diana) has ever had this amount of Pressure on her shoulders. I’m glad Britney has started firing back though, before when she was told what others said she would just say she doesn’t know them personally and isn’t sure wehther to believe them. i agree completely. as janet charlton recently said, any gossip goes out there on blogs without being checked (as in the fergie puking gossip that wasn’t true). endless stabs are taken at her, while others go unnoticed that should have people concerned. if keira knightley really said that, then it was just mean spirited and ugly. what was the motivation behind insulting someone who has nothing to do with her? i wouldn’t want my daughters imitating her anorexia, which she suddenly claims not to have.

Keira is very skinny but I’m not so sure if she is anorexic. I think she is naturally skinny and I definitely know people like that who can eat a ton without gaining weight. I think Keira should hire a nutritionist to gain muscle but I think she has always looked like a waif. Regardless, I’m sure Keira is healthier than Britney who has reported to have been bulimic for many years to maintain a thin body (we all know Britney is NOT naturally thin but chubby) and probably has mental problems among other things. I wouldn’t be surprised if Britney has also had a drug and alcohol problem.
I seriously cannot believe that some people call Britney chubby and then wonder why girls look up to people like Nicole Richie. If you’re a parent, you’re a parent, and you should be held to the same standards. Simple example: Kate Moss is an international supermodel and she is a mother. She was caught snorting coke on camera, is constantly photographed with her crackhead/criminal boyfriend- and no one talks about her having her kid taken away. If you’re someone’s mother OR father, you should hold to the same basic standards and you can’t just shine the spotlight on Britney.

Keira Knightley’s comments came from a magazine interview with Empire, that was widely quoted about 2 weeks ago (you’re a little behind here…). It was in response to a question that did not directly reference Britney Spears and she did not answer in reference to Britney Spears. If anything, it was more likely a snipe at Lindsay Lohan (more believable seeing as they do actually have a well known rift).
