She was just one of the few people from the world of aristocracy, wealth, and fame that was very real and a good person with good intentions (at least most of the time). I can understand if some people think she was a media whore but I think she was very savvy in the way she dealt with a cheating husband, a royal family who was completely detached from their subjects and important global issues, and a media that was addicted to her beauty and fairytale turned nightmare. Besides that she was so elegant and classy. Just one of a kind and the type of woman that I think the most of us are hungry to see in the spotlight again. You can't compare her to our "celebrities" of today: Lindsay, Britney, Paris...even the classier celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, or Rachel Weisz. Diana had something that made her aristocratic background obvious but was beautiful and kind and rose above the snobbery of her inner circles to help others. And I think the royal family is better now because of her. Diana was great.
