Looks like somebody doesn’t want Britney Spears to be anywhere near this year’s MTV video music awards, and that somebody is none other than the musical director of the show itself, highly respected music producer Timbaland.
In a statement to Access Hollywood, he says:
“I’m the maestro,” he told Access Hollywood. “If I don’t know nothing about it…could be, hope not. I don’t know, I don’t know nothing about it. Wooh, that would be a headache.”

Honestly, it would be amazing if Britney were to perform at the MTV VMAs and blow everyone away. It’s weird though for me, reading some of the news sites…and other peoples comments,some moments it seems like she’s ready to blow the roof off the Palms and other moments I’m actually scared she’d be laughed at and booed no matter what she does. I’ve been a Britney fan since her first mall tour with Baby, and I will remain a fan of her music until my last day, but speaking now as a person, and not an uppity fan that really wants to hear her new stuff, I truly hope for her sake and for her children…she has all her ducks in a row. A new album, followed by many new videos and hell, another world tour…would be out of this world amazing, but you simply cannot deny there are more important things going on in her world than music. I just hope she’s being serious…I know it isn’t my place to say this, and believe me, the fan in me is screaming, but maybe she isn’t ready.That doesn’t make her a has been either. Just not ready. Simple as that. Maybe she wont be ready until 2008 or later. Would that really be a big deal? She doesn’t need the money. She doesn’t need the fame. If she took some real time off. For herself and her children and wasn’t BRITNEY SPEARS:ENTERTAINER for a moment and was Britney Spears:Mother. It might not be so bad. Then, comeback if she feels she must. In a slow, planned out big way. As it stands now, and believe me I really really hope I’m wrong, it seems like she’s throwing things together alone and is attempting to “wing it”. I can’t cut her down. I can’t fault her for doing the things she’s doing. I can only say thank god it isn’t me.

As a person, and not as a “hater”…Britney quit her LAST world tour and dropped off the music scene all at once to have sex with Kevin and live crazily…no way you’ll ever convince me she had a REAL knee injury…I’ve done what she supposedly did, and while I know everyone heals differently, circumstances just didn’t measure up… I think she was done performing and didn’t care, so she quit and tried to pass it off as an injury to get out of contracts and lawsuits and having all her fans hate her. Is she ready now? I doubt it. If she was ready, she’d be making different choices for herself and her career. Do I think she’ll EVER be ready? I doubt it. She’s too far off the deep end and I just can’t see her getting out of this one. She WILL be a laughing stock no matter what she does because she’s just that far gone.
That’s me speaking objectively. Me speaking as a hater…she’s a washed up has been who hasn’t accepted that she’s lost what made her BRITNEY SPEARS the ENTERTAINER!!! She’s gone completely loco and she needs to be committed before she hurts herself, her boys, or some random stranger on the street!!!
