Yesterday, what was supposed to be a fun boat trip in Marina del Rey with SPF and JJ and her new blonde assistant (what happened to Alli?) turned out to end on a very sour note.
At first, Britney was fine with the regular paparazzi stampede that follows her around everyday. Somewhere along the drive to her home, she became very upset and it was clear that she was pissed but hey, it’s a part of the game right.
Instead of just driving away, she rolls down her window and cusses at the fat-razzi while her two sons are in the back seat, one of them , probably JJ crying his lil eyes out.
After doing so, she grabs SPF out of the back and puts him on her lap, while the car is in motion with him there. Does the bitch never learn? This, of course, gave the paps an ever bigger reason to bombard her and it further pissed her off. I would have probably yelled at the fat-razzi as well, but maybe I would have refrained from the excessive cussing if my kids were in car. She gave them exactly what they wanted. So sad. No wonder she’s constantly smoking! Gotta relax those nerves, Brit Brit.

I do believe that the car was stopped when he was in her lap, however as long as her car was on a busy road like that, with cars moving all around her…the proper thing to do would have been to keep him buckled up safe and sound. That part of California has millions of safe places that she could have pulled over within less than a mile if she needed to get him out of the seat. There was nothing stopping a moving vehicle from plowing into the back of her car while he was in her lap.

You are as articulate as you are original. I am not defending her actions - just pointing out the obvious. The whole world makes mistakes - and to be honest people regularly do things that are inappropriate in front of their children - they just don’t have 20 - 50 people taking pix at every possible angle. Does that make it right? No. Does it justify her outburst? No. But she is just a person. A single mom trying to raise her children in the middle of an ugly custody battle. I feel for her. Can you imagine being written out about daily? From watching the video I think it is pretty clear what happened. The photogs were trying to make a buck and thought if they could get a picture of her with her son in her lap they could say “oops she did it again”. She got mad and busted a gasket. End of story. If this was a guy - this wouldn’t be a story.
rak, you’re awesome. one person in a million who points out that the male celebs rarely get the same raw deal that others get. britney fan or hater, it’s great to see a girl proud of her body that isn’t a size zero. i have 2 kids and i don’t look that good in a bikini. i pointed out that travis barker let loose a stream of ugliness yet again on his wife ON CAMERA, and no one seemed to think he’d done anything even slightly wrong. i am not even going to go into the others- kid rock, say- what a parental figure, drinking, drugs, a different girl every night, racing through hotels after pam anderson- but there are tons of them and you get excuses like not policing every rotten parent in hollywood. britney is unfortunately an easy target- i thought she’d driven with her son on her lap until i saw the video. people are mercenary and evil and it’s hard not to blow up. i try not to curse or whatever in front of my kids, but it’s not always easy. as for her calling someone fat, that is ruben’s and carolina’s favorite insult; not to mention the favorite insult of many people on this site. wonder why girls are anorexic? answer right here. mikeg can repeat what she said over and over, but it still doesn’t take away some of the facts. i think he has britney hater tourettes syndrome. let’s hope a few more people here stand up and say that it’s time the guys stop getting a free pass on parenting mishaps. if you’re a parent, you’re supposed to be doing your job- male OR female.
and i believe it was none other than christina aguilera who has recently said that britney is a good mom and her boys are turning out really well. she also cited the pressure that britney has been under since she was a child. that is almost a direct quote.

yes she did (Edmunton Sun)… Christina Aguilera recently spoke up in support of the pop tart. “Britney is a good person and a good mom,” Aguilera, who was a Mouseketeer with Spears back in the day, was quoted as saying by the World Entertainment News Network. “She’s been under so much pressure since she was a child. I don’t think any of us should judge her or jump to conclusions.”
Aguilera, who is about to become a mommy herself, added: “Spears loves her boys, and they’re turning out great.”
that was the exact quote i was referring to. i guess reality is hard to face when you don’t like it. i wouldn’t make up a quote.

So, we all know that Britney Spears went out on her boat in Marina Del Ray with the boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, this past Friday. BUT there has been some incorrect information floating around about the fight between Brit and the paps that happened later on - check out the video to see for yourself!
Let it be known that Britney was NOT driving with baby Jayden on her lap - this is untrue. In fact, Ms. Spears pulled over to change his diaper and some other paps kept filming her, causing the pop star to get angry and speak her mind. Good for you, Brit!
thanks, rak. you seem rational, too. i am not a diehard britney fan, but i like her and i think she gets a raw deal at times. she does cause some of her own problems, but she also is a victim of paparazzi who are thirsting after a story. and it irritates me that the male parents who are addicts or crappy parents- people go right on by them. richie sambora, nice guy, legend- massive addict and father. to watch him on the latest unplugged was painful. his poor daughter is old enough to understand, too. did he raise any indignance? no!
I agree! I have never been a “Britney” fan per se - but I feel for her. She seems to be pretty real compared to most. I don’t agree with all of her antics but like you said if this was a male celeb we wouldn’t be having this discussion - in fact this blog wouldn’t even exist. For some reason people really want to see her crash and burn.
well, we wanted her to be the perfect girl, and then the perfect mom- and when she was clearly human, we went for her throat. she was just a tool for so many years and i think she is trying to be a carpenter and control her own life. unfortunately, she has made many awful choices along the way, but haven’t we all? it’s beyond a blame the victim mentality- it’s a mob mentality. she is our frankenstein, our creation- and now we want to destroy her.
