yea my friend loves otep. it has a female lead singer lol. they r ok. but im not into the kill myself music myself i like rap lol. my friend looooves heavy metal and screaming stuff.
Cool. Otep’s lyrics represent the darker side of human emotion, but the passion and intensity which they are sung, and how it is matched and even fueled by the music can hardly be approached by most bands today. But it’s very easy to see that some, or even most people won’t like them. It’s heavy stuff, and the lead singer must have had some bad sh*t happen to her when she was younger, like drunken step-father type stuff.
For me, I like occasional rap songs from various artists, but the only one I’ve really liked consistently is Jay-Z.
i respect bands like otep for remaining real and not doing everything they can for fame. i also respect that music and for what it is. i totally agree there is more depth their. even tho i like britney most her songs dont have depth like that. now that she has gone thru stuff maybe that will enable her to write more emotional songs like that. well im glad we r agreeing now..thats cool.

Okay, I had to watch the video with no sound because I am at work right now(yeah, this is what I do at work), but she is absolutely gorgeous…i really want to hear the actual song now…I have never heard her music.
