Britney Spears must be bored out of her mind these days now that her album won’t be coming out anymore. In fact, the love/hate relationship - if not the love of attention she has with the paparazzi has just reached a new height, or perhaps - low.
In a hand penned letter to X17, Britney apologizes for the umbrella outrage a few months back, she writes:

I want to apologize for the past incedent with the umbrella. I was preparing a character for a possible movie role where the husband doesn’t play his part so they swap places. Unfortunatly, I didn’t get the part I’m sorry I got a lil carried away with my role!

you did it to yourself, honey. You wanted him. You got him. Don’t bitch about him not doing his part because you could’ve avoided the whole “marriage and mom” thing if you wanted to. Anyway, this is just my opinion. i realize I’ll have some people that might agree with me and I might have some people ready to burn me at the stake for saying it. It’s cool either way.
Oh, and I realize she’s being sarcastic in the letter. I just don’t think it helps her case. I would’ve praised her big time if she had been straight forward and apologized and left it at that. Leave the sarcastic swipes about Kevin outta the letter. Just say that you were going through a rough time and you apologize. The end.

Indeed. Ya know I’m glad you mentioned Justin. This isn’t just Britney here. It amazes me when I see celebs break up with their bf/gf/husband/wife and they immediately jump back into the dating pool. It’s so bizarre to me. Can’t you sit down and take a few “free” gulps before you jump back into that pool? Can’t you just date someone if you do have to jump into the pool? Really get to know the guy instead of marrying him after a few months of really being close to him.

well, it kind of comments on her emotional state. she married someone she barely knew, annulled it, then proposed to kevin after knowing him a few months. clearly she is looking to fill some gap or pain in the wrong ways. i think her family has been screwed up for a long time and when she and justin broke up, her stability was gone and she just kept floundering. any woman, including cameron, that he’s been seen with since, he has clearly kept an emotional distance from. they completely smashed one another’s hearts, but he is handling it better.

I believe that Britney hooked up with Kevin because she was desperate to replace Justin. She was desperate for a man in her life. Maybe she easily falls for any attractive (her definition) guy who comes on to her.
But like the title of Justin’s song “What Goes Around (Comes Around),” Britney got what she deserved for hooking up with a man who would leave his pregnant girlfriend for another woman. Britney was selfish; she only cared about what she wanted, regardless if it hurt anyone else. How could she have ever respected and want to be with a man who would dump his pregnant girlfriend? I guess she thought that he would treat her better and never play her just because she’s Britney Spears - rich and famous. Well, he played her all right; he used her to start his own career in the music business and went to clubs almost every night…leaving her to take care of their babies at home. Now she’s a single mother of two toddlers.

The girl cannot STAND to spend a day out of the tabloid’s eye. Pretty sad that none of it is about talent or her career, but personal drama.

Her treatment of her Mother (whether Lynn did a good job parenting or not is not the issue) is beyond belief and this latest little attempt at humor or sarcasm is pathetic. She can blame Kevin, and her fans can blame Kevin, but in reality, Kevin appears to be the more sane of the two. Umm…her album is still going to be released in 2007. Check your facts…Entertainement Tonight and Jive Records both denied the 2008 claims.
I still have major doubts it’ll come out this year. I know about the reports and what people are saying. My gut feeling just tells me it’s not gonna come out this year.
Her mind certainly isn’t on moving forward. She’s still stuck on proving that Kevin and other people caused her problems. When we hear reports that there are problems with creativity on this album, I believe that this is the kind of thing they are referring to. No one wants to hear an album full of Kevin-bashing songs, but you can see by this letter that this is where Britney’s mind is at.

If Jive hasn’t delayed the album, than it is a poor business decision on their part. Britney’s mind is not on growing up, of moving on, of being a survivor. It’s on blaming people. And now there are reports that the “love letter” to her mother involved more dramatics. She acts like they conspired against her just to be mean, and as if that isn’t a normal couse of events in a bitter custody feud and where one of the parents gives the appearance of having serious mental issues, and/or drug problems.
First she claimed it was too much energy like “ADD” and now, nothing happened at all, because she wants us to think she tried out for some movie role that she refused to dignify with a name, and that has not materialized in the movie theatres.
But going back to when she acknowledged that she had a problem…what did she do to fix it? Oh she went to rehab, but now she says she didn’t need rehab. So she has done nothing. Nothing to regain the public’s support for her, nothing to prove that she is a worthy parent, nothing to prove that she knew she had a problem and took treating it seriously, nothing to calm the fears of those who love her. It’s been what, eight months, since she filed for divorce and she is still blaming Kevin and her mother for her career choices.

New Orleans radio station confirms they have the new Britney Spears single and it will be played on Monday at 12:00p.m. and they said it will be the biggest summer single and it will probably be Britney’s biggest song yet.

I’ll look forward to hearing it. I think it’s too soon to be calling it the best summer single and her biggest song. I think it’s gonna be an uphill battle. I think she (and her team) might be thinking they can release the song and it hit number 1 the next day or something. I have doubts that will ever happen. Maybe I’m wrong. Ya never know.
Yeah, her last couple songs didn’t get much airplay. And it’s interesting that if this radio station really thinks this is going to be a slamming hit that they are not advertising the release of the song, or getting their name out to the world that they are the first to premier the song.
And it’s also interesting that first the song was to be released on Saturday, and now it it moved back to Monday. And that Jive has so much confidence in the product that they ONLY RELEASED THE SONG TO ONE RADIO STATION SO FAR. It sounds more to me, if this radio station has the song, that Britney, not Jive, made a deal with a radio station in her home state to play the song. That does’t mean that any other station will pick up on the song, and frankly from what I’ve heard and seen, most radio stations are apt to make fun of Britney rather than palying her songs.
Oh, but I’m going away for a couple weeks to do something Brintey’s never done: mountain climbing. I expect that if this is such a hit that I should hear it on some rado station during my vacation, long before I have time to comment on it here. But I ain’t holding my breath, because I know how often Britney’s leaked to the media that she was going to do something and then never did. Just like last week with the True Colors tour.

There are several conflicting rumors circulating on the fan sites started by either one person posing as many, or a couple people working off of, and/or feeding into the grapevine to create a stir.
This one is from the forum at britneysepars.org, and if you go to that site, you will see that even the hard core fans think this is a scam.:
