Lynne Spears has spoken to UsWeekly about Britney’s troubles this past year.

“You go into a time in your life with the world watching and you are just trying to figure yourself out,” Lynne Spears told US in an exclusive interview that is featured in the latest issue of the magazine. “It’s sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another.”
Earlier this year, the pop star found herself in a downward spiral that culminated in a wild public meltdown that featured video footage of her shaving her head in a California salon and lashing out against a photographer¹s car with an umbrella before she checked into rehab.
And her famous blond locks weren’t the only thing the mother of two cut off at that time.
“She decided that she had to cut out everyone who was using her, and that included her parents,” says a source of Spears, 26.
The estrangement was especially hard on the pop star’s mother.
“Lynne was like Britney’s best friend, so when Britney started partying and her mom tried to control her, she got mad,” a family source explains.
Happily, the two reconciled on June 10, speaking for the first time in months and quietly taking their first steps back to a peaceful relationship.
And now Lynne tells Us Weekly how she and her daughter are coping.
“Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children,” the mother of three tells Us. “She’s just figuring things out.”

Mistakes we’ve all made? Hmmmmm. I’ve never been photographed flashing my nether region, or my upper region for that matter, or took up with someone while his ex-wife was pregnant, or married my childhood sweetheart after a drunken binge in Vegas, or taken a razor to my head. Where the heck has Lynne been when all that was going on?

Brenda, I agree with you that Britney’s mistakes are a little on the extreme side, but in Lynne’s defense, Britney is an adult and her mother really couldn’t do anything to forcibly stop her from acting the fool.
She should be thanking her mom for trying to make her less of a train wreck. Her family should give up & just let her do her thing because she is fucked up beyond repair.
The only reason other people haven’t been photographed under the same circumstances is because PEOPLE ARE OBSESSED WITH HER! It’s sick and I feel sorry for her b/c she’s can’t do anything right in the eyes of the public. I’m not even a fan of hers–I’ve never bought an album or anything of hers. I’m a young mom of two kids and I couldn’t imagine being STALKED the way she is daily. She’s made some mistakes but no one will even give her a chance to re-gain credibility.
Yeah, the whole world flashes their hoo-che to the world when they get mad at their mothers. Try again, Lynne. Denial isn’t just a river in Africa; it’s also the reason why Britney hates you right now. For all her life you’ve been an enabler, and when you suddenly told her no (for the first time EVER, it appears)and took her to rehab…little spoiled baby brat threw a temper tantrum. What is more important Lynne, that she likes you, or that she doesn’t die froma drug overdose? That she likes you or that the babies aren’t with a woman who will be passed out and not hear them cry? That she doesn’t publish a tell-all about you or that she doesn’t almost kill someone while driving drunk? That she returns your phone calls or that she stops binging and purging?

Actually…. that’s IF you can believe that Lynne actually said this. If she had said something bad, then you fans would be hating on me telling me that I shouldn’t believe everything I read. And yet, let them say “something nice” and you fans EXPECT me to believe this. When I call you fans hypocrites, that is what I am talking about.
They had one meeting. That’s all. It’s a photo-op, it doesn’t mean that they like each other.
Now here’s a interview that Lynne gives instead of being on the view. What gives? It looks more like something that Britney had scripted for her. And it’s funny how Lynne talks about “her parents” as if she isn’t one of Britney’s parents. Funny that she makes a blanket statement about Britney’s parents using her, without admitting what she had done. So how did Daddy dearest use Britney? That’s a story they will never tell us.
She could never had said something like this on the View because they would have asked her questions like I have just asked and then it would have been obvious that she was lying.
It’s like in order to be a pal of Britney’s sooner or later you have to dress like her. And apparently Britney has a whole closet full of wardrobe malfunctions waiting to happen, and yet Ali has never borrowed those outfits from Britney. How does that happen? I guess Ali just isn’t one of the it girls flashing her parts to get attention. No, she’s content to nang on Britney’s arm like a trained monkey, get a few perks from living the Hollywood lifestyle, and wait until it’s her turn to be accused of using Britney.
Jamie Lynn wears skirts all the time. Wear are the pictures of her underwear? Lynne got divorced a few years back in the public eye, how come she didn’t resort to throwing up in limos?
