Eddie Murphy has finally taken a DNA paternity test to determine whether he’s the father of “Scary Spice” Melanie Brown’s 2-month-old daughter, sources tell PEOPLE.Murphy, 46, took the test on Monday at a Beverly Hills medical facility. “Eddie came in half an hour after Mel B. and the baby,” says a source. “They didn’t want to run into each other.”
Results of the test could take anywhere from five days to three weeks.
Speaking outside the clinic, Eddie insisted he would “do the right thing” when asked if he would support the former Spice Girl with the baby’s upbringing.

He is disgusting. The only reason he is saying “he’ll do the right thing” is because he was forced by a court to submit to a DNA test. All this time he’s been flat out denying that he’s the father and didn’t even want to take the test. I hate these men! If you f-ed the woman there will always the possibility that the child is yours. Act like a man and step up to the plate. For goodness sake we have DNA testing now so there’s no way the woman can lie. If you’re so sure you’re not the father then why not take the DNA test? It’s not like he doesn’t have the money to support his daughter or I guess what he considers to be a “mistake”. If I was Scary Spice I would’ve done the same thing and taken his ass to court. This isn’t just about money. It’s about a man finally taking responsibility for his actions and being there for this baby if she turns out to be his.
