Why is Paris Hilton getting on the phone with Barbara Walters to tell the world that she’s sick of playing “dumb”? That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard! Why is Joe Francis using TMZ as his new penpal buddy? It’s funny how this works. Neither Paris nor Francis can live without the attention. Paris Hilton makes news because nobody cares about Paris Hilton, and that’s what in turns makes the news. Doesn’t make any sense? - Exactly!
Why can’t she just not talk, serve her time, and stop making her daily sufferings available to America’s ears? We are dealing with so much graver things than Paris in jail, and especially when she’s making it seem as if she’s reliving a moment from Dead Man Walking. Come on princess! You’re going to be in the slammer for 23 days! Quit crying like a baby and start acting like a citizen who’ll take full responsability for a crime you’ve committed!
Even though she tells the press that she’s ready to take full responsability, she still goes and seeks attention and redemption and a way to clear her name, she truly does care and definitely wishes the public will see her different, but, isn’t that a little bit too late?
Joe Francis on the other hand, he’s in deeper shit, yet he writes to TMZ with this angelic underlying tone playing Mr. Nice Guy trying to make people feel sorry for him. These two WANT the public to love them so bad, yet, their attempts at clearing their names is being done in the most obvious ways; by providing us with entertainment through their Dear John letters. Is it seriously making a difference to you?
Just in this morning, according to the NY Post via TMZ, word is that Paris’ dad is shopping for a “Welcome Back Paris” party bash in Las Vegas, asking $50,000 to bring his daughter in to their establishments. So, let me get this straight….your daughter has just spent almost a month in jail, and now you’re enabling her to get back into the game that got her into jail in the first place?

Ruben, I hate to be your personal spell checker, but you spelled reponsililiby wrong. It is responsibility, not responsability. I do like to hear your view on this sitch. So annoying isn’t it? But I have to agree, why dosen’t she just shut up and serve her time quietly. I like to think she will be different, I said it yesterday, but I would like her to shut up about it. I’d like to listen more when she is out. We will have to see if this is all for publicity, or she really has changed her tune. We’ll see.
You’re absolutely right: No one cares about Paris Hilton. No one cares about any of the self-destructive party girls she hangs out with. No one cares about her stint in jail. No one cares what will become of her after she gets out jail and goes right back onto the party circuit. Perhaps she will grow up to be a perfectly normal and upright young woman like Britney Spears!
If Paris so badly wants the public to hear her story, then she should wait until way after she’s served her full sentence to do so. Joe Francis, too. Because attempting to do it now just makes them both appear to be desperate to get people to forgive them. Not only that, it also makes them appear to think that they have been wronged and are trying to justify themselves right now. That’s pathetic and obvious.
Hmmm…not sure that people don’t care about Paris. They care about her only as far as how she entertains their lives. I think everyone loves to watch a freak show. It was called a Geek Show in the old days of the circus and I think that is what Paris and Anna Nicole delivered– a geek show…just rampant over the top freak behavior. And we got it.Paris cried, called for her mother and fell apart needing meds to make it through the whole month in prison. Drug withdrawal aside, she delivered and delivered better then our wildest imagination could conjure. I’m not sure that anyone cares about Paris as a person, an actress, a musician or artist, but everyone cares about what she delivers, which is good freak show entertainment.
