The details are all quite murky at this point, and authorities have not been willing to say anything official about it, so, use your own judgement.
As Martha Stewart was being driven from her home in Bedford to appear on “The View” on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, her car began to get tailed by a police cruiser. As soon as she arrived, cops arrested the driver immediately.
Later, while in her dressing room, Martha was heard speaking on the phone. An insider retold the conversation to the NY Post:
“How could you do this to me? Don’t you do background checks on people? He was Egyptian! What do I pay you people for?” The insider added, somewhat unnecessarily, “She was furious.” A rep for Martha Stewart Omnimedia told Page Six: “The company confirms the driver was arrested yesterday. He was a temporary employee and had only been with MSO a short while.”
Does anyone watch 24? lol.
Um.
I’ll bet you a million dollars she said “He was a GYPSY!”, not “He was Egyptian!”
It makes the rest of the story way more understandable, too.
