I have NO earthly idea why you all are falling all over yourselves to say that Paris is being treated unfairly!

She broke the law!?!? She was driving on a suspended license for DUI and you think her getting a mere 23 days is obsessive!?

Where has the plain logic in today’s society gone! Because she’s rich and white she should get off!?

Everyone was outraged when OJ got off, but OH, POOR PARIS! She’s a VICTIM!

She’s getting what she deserves for disobeying the law!

She needs to grow up and be an adult instead of some Vapid sleezbot with no discernable talent except promoting herself shamelessly.

paris deserves her punishment, but there are worse people and criminals out in the country that have yet to be caught or still go to jail and once they are out continue what they are doing.

Driving drunk is like walking down main street wearing a blindfold shooting a gun out. Sometimes you hit people, sometimes you dont. Sometimes you KILL people, sometimes you dont. Nonetheless, its EXTREMELY dangerous and has potential to kill or hurt someone, and is stupid and completely avoidable. Paris hilton is a DRUNK DRIVER, and its completely fair to have her in jail for that. We live in a society where rehab is a t-shirt phrase and celebrity status symbol, because unlike normal people, celebrities appear to breeze through it without any real impact or personal taxation. All of these celebrities keep getting DUIs, keep going to rehab, but nothing actually stops it from continuing, it just becomes a running joke. These little shithead kids need to know that there is a line drawn, and some things in life are meant to be taken seriously. The law isn’t a joke or a prop to celebrity life, and shouldn’t be treated as such. Jail is a place that is full of cold cells that only offer 3 blankets and 3 meals and complete solitude….for EVERYONE, and Paris is no exception. Its jail. Its a horrible place, and it should make you never want to go back or drive drunk again. Its not like rehab to celebrities, and I’m glad for that. Good for that judge for setting an example. If she was littering or something stupid, it would be different. But having a DUI is no small deal, and its ‘not right’ either. People appear to forget that Paris is a mid-twenties year old woman…not a 16 year old highschooler with no responsibilities. She’s an adult and is being treated like one, even if she acts differently.

as much as i realllllly dislike paris and what she represents in our society, i do believe that the judicial system is taking this wayyyyy too far…she violated parol one time, and it was extremely wrong and she should be punished for it…but THIS much jail time? give me a break, i know repeat offenders who violate their parole constantly and get community service and house arrest options, so why are they doing this to her? I feel like there is much more to this story than what meets the eye….in any case, i don’t think her punishment is fair and for once in my life, i really kinda feel horribly for her, poor thing is probably scared shitless…

Most ppl in jail get raped or beat up. Paris is already getting special treatment having so many guards watch her and allow her to be alone. She’s crying over not being able to have her luxuries and being alone. She’s a very weak person if thats what personal hell is to her.

…this is like a soap opera. Imagine how vindicated her rich ass felt when she skipped out of jail weeks earlier with an ankle bracelet…and then to have it all taken back again. Its like giving a homeless man a meal, and snatching it back after he takes the first bite….BRUTAL. But she deserves it. She deserves jail just like i’d deserve jail for driving drunk.

The photos of her crying in the police car acutally make me feel sorry for her. It acutally makes her look human. However, it has thrilled me to see her go through this. I do think Paris is being made an example of as of right now. The fact that now she has to serve all 45 days of her sentence and not the remaining 23 days shows that the judge is just out for blood. But!!! I do think she deserved to be put in jail. She did the crime and now she has to do the time. She should of just shut up and gone to jail for 23 days and if she really had a medical condition why didn’t she go to the psych ward? Why straight home? If after the psych ward they said she needed to go home I think people would be more understanding of that. And one more thing…if she was soo unstable…why was it she was able to attend the MTV awards hours before… Let me tell you what crazy really is… Her name is Britney and she shaved all of her hair off!!!!

Whilst I still think Paris deservs the consequences of her actions - and if that includes being sent to prison, so it shall be..these pictures are a little disturbing. To see someone that sad and upset, I don’t know how people can actually get joy out if it.

and she should count herself lucky, there are states that would have yanked her license for a year, no haggling, no questions and serve 90 days, go to jail, straight to jail, do not pass go.

by the way, it is not like she got a DUI and that was it. She got a DUI and then got caught twice driving with a suspended license. How many chances does the girl need before her ass is locked up????? And, furthermore, just because you didn’t hit (and possibly kill someone) while driving under the influence, doesn’t mean that you should be let off. Watch the Oprah show entitled “Mistakes” if you need more reason to take DUI’s VERY SERIOUSLY!!!!

We can come into this blog and whine about how reckless, immature, and wild Paris is, and how “Not Hot” she is, and how privileged she is, and how unfair the courts are and everything else. When what it really boils down to is that, we are the ones giving her positive reinforcement, every time she does something scandalous, shocking, outrageous, and immoral.

She’s like America’s little monkey. We say we hate how much attention she’s getting, but we cannot stop watching the news when she comes on, or we go into blogs and post comments. When she does something dumb we just say “that’s Paris” and move on with our lives.

We pay her millions of dollars to attend our parties and establishments so our businesses can get publicity. We have Television shows that exploit her ignorance of the “lower class” and we laugh at it.

We always brag about how “rich and privileged” she is as if it’s our money. We HAVE to buy the magazines with her picture on the cover. We complain about how kids look up to her, yet we have no idea what our children are doing on the internet at this very moment.

We say she needs to be whooped, yet our own children aren’t whipped because DFACS will come knocking, or because their skin is “too sensitive.”

We talked for days about how great it is she’s going to jail before they put her in. We laughed, and jeered and talked about it endlessly the three days she was in jail. When they let her out, we all had heart attacks and blame the only reason we’re talking about this so much is because “there is unfairness in our legal system.” Yea, right. Lets please stop lying to ourselves, and stop making ourselves out to be BETTER than Paris.

Paris Hilton walks around as if she is privileged, better then everyone, and can buy her way out of anything because WE ARE THE PROBLEM.

We have allowed this to happen and now our conscious is eating itself. We feed into her ignorance, we watch her highly rated reality show, we buy the magazines, we take the pictures, we emulate her, and we try to look like her. Then we try to blame her.

If I was Paris and I had a bunch of sycophants following my every move, shouting, “Go Paris,” “You’re soo hot,” Giving me free stuff, putting my picture in magazines, getting all the gorgeous men, talking about me CONTINUOUSLY why wouldn’t I feel better then everyone?

She’s famous for nothing, yet her face is on the news 24 hours a day, she’s in every magazine, we talk about it when we get to work. Yet, we complain.

HA! I laugh at this. Sure, she’s put people’s lives in danger. However, what are we going to do about it?

Michael Jackson gets away with molesting young boys… and he gets away… Wynona Ryder steals from SAKS and barely is punished. O.J, Simpson kills his wife and he gets away with it. And it takes 95 pound Paris Hilton for us to realize that something is wrong. As the kids say….lol.

Therefore, again I say. Thanks Paris. You brought to light the unequal treatment the poor, and minorities get in jail on a daily basis. You also let America understand how much common sense they really lack. You showed us that WE are the problem Not you. Keep doing what you’re doing. Its not as if we’ll really care.
