11:10 AM: The hearing has begun.
10:57 AM: OK, it is confirmed that she is inside. Her parents have arrived to the courtroom as well. To humble herself, Paris is wearing gray sweats.
10:53 AM: There are reports that Big Bird might have snuck inside via a side entrance that can’t be seen. No word if she is actually IN the court room.
10:45 AM: Ladies and gentlemen, Paris has arrived downtown.
10:21 AM: With handcuffs and all, Big Bird was thrown into the back of a cop car and is now on her way to downtown LA. Apparently, she cried her little eyes out. [Image Courtesy of TMZ.com]
10:15 AM: She is still at home because the Sheriff’s Department refuses to pick her up. The judge handling her case is not allowed to order her to court. So since the Sheriff’s Dept. is being silly, there is going to be a delay in her arrival to court until further notice.
10:00 AM: There is an L.A. County Sheriff’s car parked outside of Big Bird’s house. Either the Princess’ car has arrived or something jucier might be in the works.
9:54 AM: She STILL has not left her house. Then you tell me they aren’t giving her privileges! Any of us commoners that is an hour late to their DEMANDED court time gets royally screwed!
9:28 AM: MSNBC just said that Paris will appear in court later this afternoon. She still has not left her house…
9:20 AM: Hilton’s lawyer, Richard Hutton, and her prosecutor, Dan Jeffries, both arrived to court for the hearing. Jeffries states that he was not told that Paris would be appearing in court by phone, even though the info was released by a court official. Her prosecutor also says that he was not aware of the Sheriff’s decision to assign Big Bird to house arrest. Um, does he not have cable or internet?
9:10 AM: Parents Rick and Kathy have arrived to her house.
9:00 AM: Big Bird wanted to appear in court via her cellphone but the Judge Michael T. Sauer has ordered her to appear physically. LOL.

It is a joke because she shouldn’t have even gone to jail in the first place! Give me a break! It’s not that serious.

No I wouldn’t have… The only reason why she was sentenced 40 days is because of who she is. My roommate was in a very similar situation, he was in jail for 3 days. That’s it!
It’s disgusting how people are so happy she’s going to jail and think she “Deserves it”. For what? Because she’s privileged? It sure as hell has nothing to do with justice being served, I’ll tell you that much! The woman wasn’t even drunk! She blew a .08 which is the maximum legal limit. Yes, she violated her parole twice by driving her car, fine… take her license away, put her under house arrest, give her community service, but 45 days of jail time? Ridiculous! NOBODY in the state of CA serves that amount of time for driving with a suspended license, I know a quite a few people who have been caught for doing it and none of them went to jail for longer than 5 days.
The bottom line is that people hate Paris because of who she is and the lifestyle she was born into. They think she’s a talent less, spoiled, money-hungry brat who cares only about her looks and her wealth. Because of this perception they have, they think she “deserves” to go to jail. They want her to “learn a lesson”. They want to see somebody, who has had everything she ever wanted in life, have it all taken away. They also think she doesn’t deserve her fame so that should be taken away from her too… who cares!?!? Get over it! So what? You people take joy in her suffering and that’s disgusting. ESPECIALLY when most of you, probably about 98% of you who are of legal age, have driven with alcohol in your system at some point in your life! Now, had she pulled a Lindsey Lohan or a Nicole Richie (and I’m actually a huge fan of both of them) Then I would say, yes… she deserves any amount of time they decide to put her in jail, but she didn’t and she was right at the legal limit. The reason why she was even pulled over is because she was speeding! The funny thing is, I’m not even a really a fan of Paris. I don’t hate or dislike her, but I wouldn’t call myself a fan. I don’t think Paris feels like she’s better than everyone, I think she is a young girl with lots of money who loves life and has a great time that WE made famous. What is the crime in that? Why does everybody hate her so much? The girl has never done anything to warrant this much hate! Like I said before, it’s disgusting.
Some people are lucky enough to be born into a privileged life and have great looks to go with it, and some people are not. Just because you weren’t doesn’t mean Paris deserves your hatred and your bitter ugly heart!
its not because of who she is why i think she deserves it. she does think she is above the law and driving while drinking is putting everybodys LIFE at risk. Im in medicine so i see the RESULTS of little girls like her all the time. she DOES need to learn a lesson and she SHOULD NOT get out of jail because she has money to throw around. she is serving jail time because no matter HOW many times the court system tells her she does not care. She KNEW not to drink and drive, she KNEW she was on probation and she KNEW she didnt have a licence and didnt care because she thought money could buy everything. I WANT her to go to jail serve her time like everybody else and come back and say gee i really need to clean up my act some. shes open about not caring about the laws that were put there for a reason her everyday lifestyle says she thinks shes above the law and THATS why she needs to sit in jail and think about what she did.
maybe you saw what a victim of a DUI looks like you might take her offense, as well as the offense of your friends, a little more seriously. Grow up.

On the verge of a mental breakdown my ass….she looked perfectly fine at the MTV Movie Awards. She’s making this far more dramatic than it has to be. Grow up! Deal with this like an adult! Regardless of if the sentence was a little inflated she needs to buck up and deal with it. True sheltered immaturity at its finest.

I just hope that when she’s taken into custody and turned back into her jail cell that she’ll have to undergo yet ANOTHER cavity search. Maybe that’ll keep her from trying to get out early again.
