15 Actors Team Up To Sue New Line Cinema

It only takes one top asshole executive at a movie studio who’s greedy to call on his army of entertainment lawyers who will in turn draft agreements who will serve the bonuses of the few, and the desperation of the many. The tricks are always found in the small print.

15 actors who were part of the  trilogy are suing New Line Cinema for $5 million dollars of royalties which were never paid out on merchandise sales for characters that carried their name.

Peter Jackson, the director of the trilogy, also sued New Line Cinema (owned by Time/Warner) a while ago claiming they had commited financial fraud and cheated him out of $100 million. The studio responded by banning Jackson from ever directing a movie for the studio again.

My vagina is owed $5M US in back-end revenue sharing for several movies it made in the 90’s. I won’t money.
