According to E! Online Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father says she suffers from multiple addictions, including alcohol and the painkiller OxyContin.
Lindsay checked into rehab Monday following a weekend that included crashing her Mercedes, being arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and being photographed slumped in the passenger seat of a friend’s car. This is her second time at the Ritz Carlton type rehab facility.
“I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care,” Michael Lohan told E! Online. “And I’m satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That’s a very important step.”
Lindsay Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, did not immediately return an after-hours call and e-mail from The Associated Press on Wednesday.
I absolutely cannot stand parents like Dina and Michael. They take advantage of their daughter’s fame and/or misery while it is clear they both have separate agendas to fill under their own names. Gross!
I totally agree, Dina and Michael have to be the world’s worst parents. Dina is just trying to be famous herself, White Oprah my ass! If Oprah had kids, they wouldn’t act like LiLo. And this slime ball. How does he even know anything about her, I thought her and her dad din’t talk! Total scum bags. It kinda makes me feel bad for Linds, she doesn’t have anyone looking out for her best intersts, her parents want to be famous too. Poor thing. Hope she turns out ok in the end.
seems like most of young hollywood is addicted to something, they are all way too skinny! Lindsey’s parents are the reason she’s the way she is…her mom is a freaking JOKE! She always praised this kind of behavior b/c it got lindsey more press and her more money in the long run. Her dad is prob’ly speaking some truth now in his interviews, but if that’s your role model at such an influential age…you’re bound to screw up!!
