When a Celebrity Apologizes, It’s Political, Never Genuine

akon-36524.jpg

Excerpt from Akon’s statement in regards to him dry humping a 15-year old like a beast on stage:

“It was never my intention to embarrass or take advantage of my fans in any way, especially those under the age of 18. That is why we tried to make sure that the club did not admit anyone under 18 in the audience. Somehow, that standard was not met.”

The “it was never my intention” line is getting old….Mel Gibson,Isaiah Washington, Michael Richards, Don Imus all said the same damn thing. Bullshit! I’ll bet whatever on the fact that they probably still feel the same way. The fact that their shit went public is what caused the apologies, nothing else. Too easy.

It shouldn’t have went down at all but this girl had a fake i.d. to get in so he was just supposed to know she was jailbait? I watched the tape and she didn’t look 15.Maybe people should just not dry hump anyone on stage! Wow thats a thought! Parents could also try to make sure their kids who are under 18 don’t have fake i.d.s and get into clubs. Parents need to watch their kids more, that should be a no brainer but its not.

Seriously Though…The club is at fault. I am far from an Akorn fan :) But what the hell was a 15 yrld doing at the venue. Not cool.

oh please this guy is only trying to save his endorsement deals, sure all black women are proud of being ho’s, but if you want corporate white america to sponser your tour than you have to at least pretend to have the tiniest respect for women.

Regardless of the young woman being a minor, Akon had no right to do that to a person who he doesn’t even know and especially without their consent.
His apology sounds like he thinks that it would have been okay for him to do that if she were not a minor. Not like he was apologizing for not getting a person’s consent before treating them like his sex toy.

Anonymous, Akon very much had Denah’s consent. The video shows her spreading her legs, wrapping her legs around him, hanging onto him, grinding back against him. The other photos floating around also show someone who does not look 14 — belly ring, tramp stamp, a scarf for a top, 4 inch heels, low cut jeans with no visible thong or panty over the top — dryhumping Akon on stage with a smile. “you can’t rape the willing”? truer words never spoken.

there was no way for Akon to know she was underaged. this is a false issue. her family is east indian and apparently loaded down in Trinidad, though. this is about some rich people saving face. maybe the title of this blog should read ‘when the affluent demand an apology, it’s political, never justice.’

You are only making excuses for this peice of shit Anouka. He shouldn’t do that to ANYONE, NO MATTER HOW OLD THEY ARE! He is disgusting, and so are you for defending his actions.

Ew he is disgusting. I actually agree with you Ruben, this isnt an apology this is him blaming others for his crude and disgusting behavior. He looks like a monkey jumping around the stage dragging that woman with him. How is that a concert? His music plays in the backround while he humps and drags a woman around? People pay to see that? This country scares me sometimes…

Hotti- You really think that was “hotness” Akon is so gross looking. Someone needs to feed that boy a cheeseburger or something…Ethiopia called.. they want their entertainment back..

He looks like a damn monkey in that video. Dragging that girl around and humping her. How is that entertainment? Why would you do that at a concert? I love how he blames everyone else for his disgusting behavior. I guess its because he doesnt think that there is anything wrong with it. The thing that bothered me the most was after he was done humping the sh*t out of her, he just walked away. its not like he helped her up and they both laughed and hugged, he just left her laying there… He is a disgusting excuse for a man.

Its a good thing verizon dropped him, hopefully Gwen will do the same…

The blame is the girl’s and her parents..He’s a man, why shouldn’t he hump a b*tch if she’s has so little self-respect that she will allow herself to be humped like a beast?

she’s disgusting, has no shame or self-respect, I can’t believe you people are making excuses for that disgusting whore, acting like a monkey! She was the one acting like the real monkey!
