HBO has decided re-launch their concert specials and they will kick off the comeback with Justin Timberlake.
His first special for HBO will be taped August 16 at Madison Square Garden and will air on September 3.
This is the first concert special for HBO since the Rolling Stones show in January 2003.
HBO Entertainment Senior VP Nancy Geller said,
The concert specials always have been icing on the cake, but the series were so important. When Justin said he was going on tour, it was a no-brainer. It just felt right — he is a classic HBO star, it feels like the right time, and he’s the right guy.

I was at the August 15th show at MSG and it was filmed for the HBO special. Maybe they filmed both MSG shows and will use the best one? Either way, I can’t wait to see the special…even though I’ve been to 2 concerts on this tour already lol It really is THAT good!

The song is by The Verve and its title is Bitter Sweet Symphony. A British band from a few years ago.
