This doesn’t show the entire story between Tomlin and David O. Russell. The director is well known to be a complete asshole. As you can see in the video below, the director really attacks Tomlin. If you are working with a director who calls you a cunt and has no control over the movie, yea, you can get pissed off. I really don’t blame her. She’s a big enough star that she should be treated with respect. And in the video below it isn’t Tomlin who is the crazy one. Maybe in the car scene she is just reacting to all the crap she has had to take from Russell so far on the set.

Sorry Ruben, but you’re a little ill informed on this one. If you check out your back story you’ll find that Lily Tomlin was backed into a corner by the director on a previous exchange. The director is well know for his temperament and for talking to people like shit….
As someone who had the unfortunate experience of working with Russell I can tell you that he’s got a temper and not much in the personal relationship tank.
My guess is that Tomlin, who is well-liked in the business, was pushed too far and let him know it.
Team Tomlin. Watch the story in its entirety before judgments are made. Russell flew off the handle (per usual) and was throwing knocking things off desks.
