Tom Cruise and Francis Ford Coppola Team Up

tom_francis.jpg
We’ll be seeing Francis Ford Coppola’s first film in 10 years thanks to Tom Cruise who is now steering United Artists. He picked up the flick for distribution.

Youth Without Youth” was inspired by Sofia Coppola’s low budget work. Francis said, “Fuck it! Let’s shoot a movie for $5 million!” So, he got Tim Roth to star in a flick about an old man who gets struck by lightning and suddenly gets younger and more intelligent. He begins a quest to understand the origin of language and the secrets of consciousness.

They say the flick is like an “arty Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
