When it comes to talking about his exes, Justin Timberlake is a model of diplomacy.Asked what he thinks about Britney Spears’s recent ups and downs, the singer, 26, demurs, telling Details in its April issue, “We had our thing, and it’s over.”
And he won’t speak at all about Cameron Diaz, from whom he split in January after nearly four years together.
Instead, he slams the tabloids that, he says, “create soap operas out of people’s lives.” He won’t take part in the speculation about the people in his life: “I would never say anything bad about anyone,” he says. “I love a lot of those people.”
This goes hand in hand with an earlier story we had where Justin was hounded by a woman in regards to Britney Spears.

ummm the two stories don’t really go hand in hand, so much anger towards the britster
yep…always trying to embroil justin in some kind of controversy.
Where is the anger exactly? Justin isn’t my favorite celebrity. I personally think he’s a conceited jerk. But what did you want him to say? That he still loves Britney or that he supports her? At least in this interview he was short and to the point. It is over whether Britney fans will ever come to terms with that fact or not. They will never get back together and I doubt that Justin is too concerned with Britney. They took two compeletely different roads after they broke up in which Justin became a pop superstar and Britney took a long break to have a family. They are changed and quite different from the teenage coupe they were back in the 90s. It’s sad but it happens to most first loves and they aren’t any different. Imagine how you would feel if people were expecting you to take care of someone you dated in high school but broke up with years ago? Of if people blamed you for his or her depression or problems or if people still associated you with that person even though you haven’t spoken to them in years? It makes no sense. I wouldn’t blame Justin if he did go off after having to still see his photo next to Britney’s in practically every magazine and Britney fan website.

I was on a few Justin sites just now and they had snippets from this interview. That quote was actually about Cameron…the source is US WEEKLY.
On breaking up with Cameron Diaz:
“[Cameron and I] had our thing, and it’s over.”
“Sadly, there are no details in the article about what he thinks of former girlfriend Britney Spears”
It could be a mistake but I guess we’ll all know when the scans are up.

It really pains me to write this, because I never liked Brit that much and would be more then happy to side with Justin, but the way he used Britney to further his own career with ‘Cry Me A River’ is far from diplomatic and just plain disgusting.
I agree with scott and other people, there isnt really a connection.
I dont think justin used britney to further his career because he always talks about his feelings in his songs and thats probably because the media turns everything he says into something else so if he says it in a song he can make sure everyone gets the facts right.
