Pax Thien Jolie and the adoption would be final once U.S. consular and embassy officials give approval. The boy’s original name was
Pham Quang Sang at the Tam Binh orphanage in the city, Vietnam’s largest urban area with 8 million people.
Angelina Jolie completed procedures with Vietnamese authorities on Thursday to adopt a boy from a
Ho Chi Minh City orphanage.
Jolie and the child were driven by car from the orphanage to the nine-storey Justice Department building in the city center to sign adoption documents. Jolie’s car was seen leaving the underground parking area 30 minutes later.
Senior officials said Jolie’s adoption had been speeded up, partly due to her celebrity status.
Alot of people put Angelina down for adopting children. What sort of life would they have in a poor orphanage compared to the love, life and oppurtunitys she and Brad can give them? I think its brilliant what shes doing.
I AGREE. THEY ACTUALLY WILL HAVE A CHANCE AT LIFE ( IF BUSH DOESNT KILL US ALL ). I THINK MORE PEOPLE SHOULD BE OPEN TO ADOPTION FROM OTHER COUNTRIES.
dont no if you’ve noticed but those two are onyl; popular for this reason! they call them selves actors… what acting? all they do is pick kids like there picking a pet! if they were atcually popular for some other reason i would really congratulate jolie for her adoptions but the ladies life is based on nothing else!

BTW, can you imagine how scared this boy was, he’s 3 and he’s taken off w/ a women he doesn’t know to a gov’t office then he leaves with her….jeeezz!

First of all, no one is bashing her for adopting in general. But I think adopting 3 kids within what, 5 years and having a baby herself is just too much. She has a busy schedule and I don’t think its good for the kids to be dragged around the world all the time.
Plus, she sped up the adoption process which must be very frustrating for non-celebrity parents who try to adopt and sometimes have to wait for years! I know people who want to adopt, they are the sweetest couple in the world but they have to go through so much to make it possible.
And why is she changing his name for God’s sake? He’s three years old and must be confused already by all the attention and new things happening, why change his name?
Yes I think its wonderful that this child will have a chance at a wonderful life, but I question Angelinas reasoning why all the children, what is she trying to fulfill She surely has not had the most reliable background, I mean her children have not and may not ever meet their grandfather! Shes gone from marriiage to marriage, drugs to cutting herself all in a cry for help. Its basically known that people like that always will try and fulfill that hole that cannot be filled. And if Brad and her are soooooo in love, why not marry giving those children a full life, not ahalf one….I have to question her in those respects, not that the children are very blessed. I pray Brad will be able to turn her around as far as her father goes……its very important and a question she truly needs to address. Step up to the plate Angelina and fix the basics first! Look at all those lovely little faces, how would you decide which one to take I would want to help all of them. Imagine the life this little boy will have and what will happen to the ones left behind.
Actrully you know nothing about nothing, clearly you saw… “Angelina and Brad adopt another child,” clicked on the link a gave ur oppions on something you dont know anything about.. First of all Brad is on contract and can not leave his movie shoot but he would be there is he can. Brad’s name is not on the adoption paper bc in Vietnam parents that are not married, are not allowed to file for adoption and since Brad could not leave his shoot Angelina put her name on the papers as a single parent. They have not sped up the adoption process they have been tryin to get this child since their first visit to Vietnam over a year ago and Angelina filed for the adoptiong papers to adopt a long time ago.. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not only known for just adopting children. Angelina’s father is a two time oscar winner and she has been acting since she was five years old and if you know ur Angelina history then u would know she has done alot more then just adopt children. Brad Pitt is the sexist man alive and done a sh*t load of movies… And soo what if they adopt alot of children its what they want to do its not ur life u cant make an oppion on ppl you dont even know. They are doing more to make this world better for them, thier children and us, than u have ever thought about doing. Their lives have nothing to do with ours leave them alone and leave their kids alone. They adopted another child congratulate them, they changing a life and they are happy, leave them alone…. Insulting them is stupid if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.

first of all, I have read everything concerning that matter, so you’re wrong. And it is not yet proven that she didn’t speed up the process.
And no one is saying that adoption is wrong, but do you really think it is good for those kids to travel around the world all the time. And I doubt Angelina and Brad have the time to take care of them like other parents do. I’m sure they spend more time with them than other celebrity parents but still, they both have busy schedules and 4 very small kids. That’s just too much.
And lastly, I’m not going to let you tell me they have done more to make this world better than I have ever thought of cause you know shit about what I do. I haven’t adopted a kid but I’ve engaged in a lot of charity projects.
Oh and you’re saying we shouldn’t talk bad about someone we don’t even know personally, well then it’s just as bad as worshipping someone you don’t know cause that’s what you’re doing.
If the trial was speeded up I´m very frustereded bcuz like someone said there r many good people that want to adopt and have to wait a really LONG time. Why should Angelina and other celebs get another treatment than the rest of us. Some people don´t want to bcome an actor and don´t want to be famous why should celebs than get a better treatment than those people. NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BCOME AN ACTOR,SINGER OR A CELEB. of course we want money and stuff but WHY do they get a better treatment??
The reason Brad is not included in the process is that Vietnam does not allow unmarried couples to adopt. He will likely adopt Pax once he has arrived in the states. He has visited the child on previous visits, so I’m sure he’s very involved in the process.
I think these two are wonderful examples. They have proven themselves to be great parents and great citizens of the world. And, YES, they are accomplished actors! Don’t we all slow down at work when we start a family? There’s nothing wrong with concentrating on the kiddos.
Finally, I don’t understand the hoopla about the sped-up adoption (whether or not it’s true). If it means a child will spend that much less time in an orphanage, I’m for it. Unfortunately there are plenty of children in need to go around. Besides, it’s not like she made the decision last week. They’ve been in contact with the orphanage since last year.
All of these haters who think the adoption is wrong needs to shut up. First of all, Angie and Brad are known for more than their adoptions, dumb asses. They are beautiful, famous, Hollywood actors, who have also done positive humanitarian work all over the globe. They put a face on this tragedy regardless of how litte they do so at least they are doing something! That is more than 99% of Hollywood who spend their millions on alcohol and drugs rather than on a poor child or starving, war-torn communities. And they are probably doing more than you will ever do so why criticize? Also, at least from the photos we’ve seen of them with their kids, they are loving parents who are more normal than a lot of Hollywood/upper class working parents combined. They DO spend time with their children in New Orleans. They do normal things like take them for walks, pick them up from school, etc. And they also have the money to hire as many nannies they want if they have to go off and film a movie. I don’t care even if they didn’t spend time with these kids. They are going to have a wonderful life more than they would have if they were left in an orphanage. They are going to have two parents who love them, the best education, and resources. They are luckier than most of the children in this world. Adopting is one of the most unselfish things a person can do and is a great way of giving back in some way. So stop hating until you know what it’s like to go to these places and see the suffering and have made a conscious effort into saving a child from death or starvation. I’m sure Angie and Brad wish they could save all of these children but they are not enough. More of us should do the same. So don’t hate losers!
Angelina is a woman who has inspired me to help other children.
I have no children of my own, and I am unable to have children, however, whatever I can do to help some childs life be better in anyway, then I would do it! I am trying to help now.
Angelina and Brad have the ability to change children’s unfornutate situations in so many positive ways.
I think what they are doing is wonderful.
