Jessica Simpson’s ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)’ CD Cover

I Love jessica sooo much, but can’t even begin to describe how lame this song is, and how disappointed I was with her album. There are a few good songs ( I belong to me ), but So many that is straight up HORRIBLE (push your tush, boy, this song) I really wish she would’ve done something that was somewhat of an evolution of in this skin, and not what seems to be a pile of scrap songs from assorted pop artists.

When Jessica first came out, my local radio person kept on saying that she will be the next Mariah Carey, but this never happened.

She has a good voice, but she has not grounded her abilities.

I put Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson (and Jessica Simpson?) in the same category. These are people who have a good voice but sing without putting their inner soul in it. Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera are completely different level, their singing is amazing because you can feel their soul in it. By the way, Britney does not have a strong voice, but you can feel her charisma in her peformance too. Jessica Simpson has zero charisma. Charisma is not something you can acquire through life experience, it is something you are born with.

Why does this chick ALWAYS do covers? Get a songwriter!
