300” is without a doubt going to become the #1 top grossing movie in 2007 once box office figures are released Sunday night. The movie posted an impressive $28 million in ticket sales on Friday alone, compared to the current #1 top grosser “Ghost Rider” which opened on a Thursday with $14 million in ticket sales (So far, the latter has made $99 million in 3 weeks).

My guess is that with its super wide release and wide target demographic, “300″ is going to make about $75-$80 million in its opening weekend. I’ll have an update tomorrow, but damn, what a movie :)
