OK, I just really hope she had some rational reasons to do that (for example like Ruben said, to honor her aunt.) Maybe we should give her some wigs, or even more important, some phone numbers of experienced psychotherapists…

I honestly think that this is probably a “rebirth” kind of thing. kind of cleaning the slate maybe… shes been fucking around with her hair a lot lately… growing a new head of hair will maybe help her position her head back on her shoulders if you know what I mean…
As much as she probably looks shitty right now, I think it will turn out to be something positive.

hey ruben- i have felt sad and dissapointed in britney for some time now. we dont know the reasons behind this yet but it seems like she cant handle things anymore dealing with her life professional or personal. she needs some real people behind her. where is her mom? where is her sister? it sounds like shes becoming an out of control partier stoner and is avoiding her family. this saddens me but i think its only a matter of time before we have another anna nicole type of death on our hands and it could be britney if she doesnt shape up. im very sad right now.

The video of her on x17 shows her mumbling, somewhat incoherently, “I know your face….Who are you?” & then, mentally, one can see that she is almost abruptly cut off from that thought and looks away. One woman interviewed called it “scattered.” It is a sign of someone who is in danger of entering into a very deep psychosis.

As a grad student in counseling, I am seriously worried for her mental health and well-being. This video and these pictures are of someone who no longer should be in the public eye. The paparazzi need to bow out, Britney needs to bow out, and she needs to get her life together - a healthy life that celebrity can no longer give her. There is no comeback. The only comeback is from a human being in mental turmoil into one who can lead a healthy, productive life as a woman and mother.

That is absolutely all that needs to be expected of her.

I think she’s is psychologically in trouble. So sad to tell that at her age she got all the pressures on her shoulder. She just had all the series of failures in love and left behind with two children. She got all the people around her but it looks like what she wanted for herself didn’t turned out to be. We don’t really know what is bothering on her mind but I guess feeling all alone and abandoned is the key. Medias, paparazzis, destructors and haters aggravates the situation. Other sites (Ubritney & ONTD) are saying there’s a rumor she was RAPED? Is there any info on this? It does make sense with her telling people she doesn’t want people touching her/she’s tired of people touching her. And Larry said that something tragic happened, what was that? What was shaving her head theraputic for? What is it she’s coping with? Also where are the kids, her family? Why was she flying alone in coach? And why in the world did she check out of rehab so quickly? There are so many questions right now. I watched the video of her leaving the salon on X17 and I wonder if she may have been in a delusional state and talking to her possible attacker when she said, “Because of you… I know you’re face…Who are you?” She sounded/carried herself in that video as if she wasn’t “there”. That was creepy, and she’s scaring me. People at the tattoo and hair salons said she was scatter brained, and emotionless.

What is that about? She’s clearly not in a right mental state right now. Where’s Larry and why isn’t he with her? I’d like to hear your opinions on all of this.

Fame comes with a price and Britney is paying it with interest. She can’t do anything without everyone knowing about it. We shouldn’t make it our business to speculate over why she did what she did because it’s her life.

I’m not a fan of yours although I’ve enjoyed some of your work, but I have watched you rise to the top only to watch you crash and burn.
I understand you may feel like you have lost everything, and that you have no value but it was never the fame that gave you value or beauty.
The fame will fade and so will outer beauty and the fans will disappear, but at the end of the day you have two sons that will love you no matter who you are. And a family that will always be there for you, even when they have no clue or understanding of what you’re doing or why you’re doing it.
We all have demons we struggle with every day, we all fight silent battles within ourselves. The winners in life are those who know when to ask for help and are willing to accept when it’s offered.
I would hate to see something happen to you that would deprive those boys of there mother or your family of there daughter or sister.
I would hate for you to miss tomorrow for each one we see brings possibilities for new journeys and new loves and no matter what you think right now, you do deserve to have someone in your life who will love you for yourself not the fame or the money not the outer beauty but for whole you including your sons.

If I could see you in person my advice would be to get out of la la land, go home for awhile. Get rid of those people who aren’t positives in your life, those who are only there for the party.
You still have your voice and your talent, so use your pain and love of music and make a new album. But be wise; understand that the industry only cares about the money you earn them not about you as an artiest.

Although I enjoyed Britney’s music, and really liked her I was never a hard core fan. However, just like everyone else, these last months I couln’t help but follow what is going on in her life. Up to today’s news, I agreed with you Ruben, on all the stuff you posted. However, after seeing Britney shave her head and how she acted I just feel so much empathy and compassion for her. When I see the video and see all the paparazzi and hundreds of flashes and think that this is her life 24/7 I just think…poor girl, wouldn’t like to be her right now. I will not say anything negative about Britney Spears because neither I nor any of you really know her or know what anguish or inner turmoil she feels when she is all by her self, or what she is going through. I rather just pray for Britney and send her the best wishes. I know many are disapointed and outraged at her image and behaviour, but I don’t think that is a reason to say such horrible things about another person. Empathy people. Empathy Ruben. I can’t believe what I am reading. Luis, kassandra, mike, etc, GET REAL!!!!!!!! Ruben is in no way responsible for Britney’s actions. Just because he blogs about her (and a lot of other people) doesn’t mean he controls what they do in any way. Britney seems to enjoy reading the tabloids (remember the pics where she looked a disaster reading gossip mags about her and Cohen and she was smiling?) and if she doesn’t want to know what people are saying about her am sure no one can force her to read these blogs or anything else. I most positive she has plenty of people around her telling her how negative her image is without reading anything herself. All I am trying to say is Ruben is just blogging about her actions—NOT FORCING HER TO “DO” ANYTHING.

I think that people should at least respect that Britney is a person. Whether you like or dislike her music, or agree or disagree with her latest actions, she deserves a certain amount of respect that she is simply not being given. In my opinion, publishing that letter from Felicia was a bit selfish; you did it as a means of self promotion for your blog, so please be honest with yourself.

I love Britney. I am a devoted fan; I have been and I always will be. When people write mean things and criticize, they do so out of ignorance. Britney became famous at 16. She was and still is world famous, unlike Christina Aguileira and Beyonce. There was simply too much pressure put on her from all of those around her. She deserves respect and privacy, so that she can deal with all of the issues in her life right now. Britney has had a rough two years and, in my opinion, she is just now beginning to iron out all of the problems which have been affecting her. Honestly, some people are so rude. Maybe she shaved it to kill any possiable chance of a positative drug test for her custody battle with K Fed. That is the only way to completly get any sign of drug use out of your hair. This way she can take stuff to clean out her blood and urine but they still could have tested her hair and that would have showed signs if any,.

Where are the Parents?

Children growing up in the Hollywood lime light are known to have problems. Watch a few E Hollywood True Stories, and that becomes startlingly clear. Unfortunately, this disturbing trend has become even more disgustingly apparent with increased accessibility into the “stars” personal lives, facilitated by internet blogs and entertainment media.

I sit here writing this letter because I believe the current state of Hollywood “kids” is symptomatic of something more sinister in our culture. We condone this sort of activity by partaking in the media circus that has arisen from the ashes of some very young and sad human beings. Sadly it appears that many take pleasure in the pain of others, entertainment that comes at a very high price.

Websites like Perez Hilton, as entertaining as they may be, distribute images of people at their worst. Derogatory statements scrawled over their faces, acting as judge and jury. I wonder how mentally stable the likes of Perez would be today if someone followed him around in his early 20’s and cast judgment on every decision he made.

That aside, the real question is where are the parents; the “family and friends” that benefited monetarily while the going was good? Over the years you have seen pictures of theses people in the press, on Entertainment Tonight, attending parties, co-authoring websites and books and dressing to the nines. But where are they when their kids fall apart?

Many child stars of my generation are now in their 20’s and 30’s and should be responsible for their own actions, but that is tough when you never had a childhood and your parental role model passed down a legacy of neglect.

I am now the parent of an 18 month old little boy and am very concerned about the values that will be passed on to him via the media. Whether we like it or not people are being monetarily rewarded for providing a freak show.

As children, my brother and I were raised with values and a core belief system. Our parents held us accountable for our actions. They weren’t always our favorite people, but they were role models and helped us out when times got tough. It was unconditional and non-negotiable love. It was parenting not friendship and/or business.

This isn’t a judgmental letter regarding the evils of drugs, partying and money. We all have had our fair share of turbulent times. This is a wake up call because I truly believe by sitting passively by and rewarding the news outlets for exploiting these “kids” we are condoning this kind of destructive behavior.

When we read the celebrity blogs, buy the tabloids or continue to watch Entertainment Tonight while they document dysfunction at its worst, we are guilty by association. This kind of behavior would not be tolerated if we simply did not support it, because it would make someone’s pocketbook a lot lighter. How can we sit idly by and watch the “train wrecks” happen and do nothing to stop them?

You can’t blame Ruben in no way for all the drama and misery in britney’s pathetic little life.
However, it becomes more clear and clear that Ruben exploits Britney just to “plugg” his own website. And instead of using his power for something good and positive, he only focuses on the negative and leaves absolutely NO ROOM for ANY other opinion besides his OWN.

Finaly people see that there is another side of the story than Ruben’s version. That maybe Britney deserves a little sympathy and RESPECT. Cause most of all the lack of respect is what has been bothering me in Ruben’s behavior against his former idol.

I’m not a brit-fanatic. I think she made some huge misstakes, and am positive that she will never rise again. With that being said, she’s still human. And when things like this happen, FINALY people realise that, and I hope Ruben realizes that too.

Maybe in her mind she thinks it’s a step to starting her life/image over fresh. That is, she shaved her head so that new, undamaged hair can grow back. Maybe it kind of makes her feel like she’s starting to reinvent herself.

Maybe she wants her natural hair color back. Maybe she thinks that it will help her feel like herself before she became the famous blonde-dyed pop star. It’s like getting back to her roots - in regards to her hair and maybe even symbolically to herself before stardom.

On the other hand, maybe it’s a rebellious reaction. Maybe she’s getting back at anyone who has wronged her recently. It could be an attempt by her to try to make the paparazzi look worse by implying, “Look what they have caused me to do?!,” in regards to a mental breakdown. Or maybe because she might feel used by some men, she thinks that by shaving her head that she is going to make herself unattractive, so to ward off any potential men who might want to take advantage of her. Or maybe she just wants to appear tough and it’s her way of saying, “Don’t think of messing with me!”. Or maybe she’s craving publicity, since her album won’t be due until later this year, so there wouldn’t be much media coverage on her otherwise. Or maybe she’s really having a major mental breakdown and it’s her way of showing a cry for help. Or maybe it’s a host of different reasons.

I honestly believe Britney is suffering from post partum depression. It is the only thing that makes sense to me, as far as her behavior.

What if Britney Spears found out that she is pregnant again and was afraid that it would be another set-back for her career, so she decided to have a secret abortion? And if so, what if it caused her to have a mental and emotional breakdown?

Well i said what i said and thats that. I never said Ruben is to blame for her acting strange.. ive always thought britney messed herself up, all i said was that posting that e-mail was wrong and selfish.. he wanted it because he knew it would promote the blog. about everything else hes done.. its fine.. him and other blogs talk about celebs, thats fine but in my opinon posting a personal e-mail from felicia was just wrong.
