Update: Anna allegedely died from an overdose from the prescription drugs she was taking, which are described as as all being “heavy downers”.
Sources tell ET that Anna Nicole Smith died this afternoon after she collapsed at a Florida hotel.The actress and TRIMSPA spokesperson was staying at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
According to reports, Anna Nicole collapsed around 2 p.m. and paramedics were called.They reportedly performed CPR at the scene. She was then taken to the Memorial Regional Hospital.
Her partner, Howard K. Stern, tells ET that Anna Nicole’s temperature was running high last night. The couple was shopping for a new boat in Florida.
She was 39 years old.

I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I honestly think Howard could be behind Danial and Anna’s deaths.
This is very sad. Ruben, after reading your news about this and then going to Perez after, I must say, you published the news much better than Perez’s tacky ass, I mean look at the article titles he used? Keep up the good work. Death should not be taken so lightly as he made it seem.
This is so sad and tragic. First, her son died just days after she gave birth to her second child (and his first sibling) and in the same hospital room where she stayed. Now Anna is gone, too, leaving behind her 5-month-old infant daughter. Anna may be with her son now, but her poor infant daughter has lost her mother.
I can’t imagine the mixed emotions and tremendous grief that Anna must have gone through after her son died. She was very close to him and he was the only real family she had. I also remember her saying in an interview that she was afraid for her son’s soul and him being lost and alone (there were no other family members whom he was close to and passed before him). It was really sad.
Even though Anna was all smiles most of the time in the public eye, I think it was apparent that she was really sad and confused deep down. She seemed like someone who was emotionally needy and tried to satisfy that need with the attention that she was given by the public. She wanted to feel loved.
I hope that her daughter will be taken good care of, raised properly, and given much love.
My sympathy to everyone who is grieving her loss.
