Well, I typically defend your right to your opinion given Britney and other celebs, but this is insulting a whole community, not all which you have met or seen at all, unlike celebs. Its one thing to judge a person on what they do, its another simply by their looks, even when you have never seen the person. Even if it wasn’t your intention, this still crossed the line. Black History Month is not a joke and is something to empower those who have to deal with discrimination and prejudge their entire lives… still to this day too. You really should apologize.
I’M SORRY, BUT I’M BLACK AND I AM A FAITHFUL READER OF YOUR BLOG….CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME CAROLINA? IT DOESN’T SEEM LIKE YOU LIKE OUR RACE VERY WELL. PEOPLE WHO ANNOY YOU? WHAT THE HELL?
CAROLINA, CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME? I’M A FAITHFUL READER OF YOUR BLOG AND I’M AN AFRICAN AMAERICAN. DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT I WANT TO SUPPORT YOUR BLOG NOW THAT I KNOW WHO YOU REALL ARE. I’LL BE SURE TO LET ALL OF MY FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT YOU.
Carolina, Can you please explain this to me? I’m an African American who faithfully reads your blog everyday. Most of my friends who read this blog are black…I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where your main fanbase was. So again, I ask, can you explain this to me? Are you racist? Are you just trying to get more people to read your blog? I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t help but want to punch you out.
This is in incredibly poor taste, and if it came from South Park then it should be labeld such. However, it does have a point that racism runs rapid and unchecked at grocery stores:
“Flesh” colored band-aids are peach not brown or black or yellow. Don’t we all have flesh?
“Nude” pantyhose is a light tan that looks best on fair skinned people. Can’t we all be nude?
“Nude” colored lipsticks and foundations (such as those in the Revlon line) are shades lighter than beige, which are designed for women with fair complexions, not dark skinned women. But can’t we all be nude, no matter what color our skin is? Then why design a “nude” color for white people only?
The picture has been around forever on the internet, and the title is from a South Park episode where one of the kids’ dad was on a game show and got that as a question - he guessed the n-word when the correct answer was supposed to be “nagger.” Then he was ostracized by the whole community, it was a huge deal.
So, while the South Park episode wasn’t necessarily done with racist intent, and the picture may be intended to point out unintentional racist humor, the combined effect here, posted with no explanation, has a lot of potential to offend and I was surprised to see it. What were you thinking? Poor call, Carolina, really. I’m white and I’m offended. Considering that a lot of people don’t seem to know about the SP episode, I do think an explanation and/or apology is in order. Besides, even knowing about the episode, I’m still wondering why you would combine these two elements - what was the intention here?

Are you retarded or something?
Must be retarded. I am sure half your readers are black. I think that deserves an apology.
where’s the sense of it all?
Yeah, it’s “nagger”. I saw it on Southpark the other night - it was hilarious!
I don’t watch Southpark. If I took it offensively it’s because it was worded and pictured that way.
Okay..? Seriously.. why?

I hate carolina. I think she is RUDE and ugly on the inside.
I’ve complained about a bunch of her other blogs.
WE WANT RUBEN. fire carolina.
Why would you post this??? This is incredibly offensive, hurtful, and in poor taste, to say the least.
